• Developed, maintained and modified interior cargo compartment furnishings component designs including vertical sidewall, sloping sidewall, access panels, floors, ceilings, doors, placards, nets and all supporting structure.

• Developed 777X cargo sidewall liners / access panels / support structure and placards via NRPD (Non-Recurring Product Development) process. Responsible for spatial integration with interfacing groups, new design feasibility studies, product definition development via CATIA fly-thru and presentations; flammability joint certification testing support; supplier RFP presentations - design and material specs

• Solved over 500+ engineering errors related to 747/767/777 cargo furnishings design, installation and in-service issues. Performed on-site engineering support with Liaison Engineering during factory build to ensure proper installation.

• Managed Zodiac Aerospace 767-2C (Tanker) cargo part production issues. Maintained a work-in-progress board to track design change release schedule with priority based on factory build urgency and team capacity.

• Redesigned 747-8F main deck ceiling (access panel configuration) resulting in company savings $260K per year. Design change and cost savings proposal presented to Chief Engineer TRB for Do-Proceed project approval.

• Redesigned 747-8F cargo smoke detector guards resulting in 13 lbs weights savings per airplane and $61K company cost savings.

• Co-Authored flammability joint test plans for cargo compartment smoke / halon retention and flame penetration certification.

• Co-Authored, implemented, and maintained engineering change form and checklist reducing downstream errors in the drawing release process. Rotation Engineer – Tooling, Manufacturing & Stress

• 777 Wing Stress Engineer. Responsible for FEA analysis of in service fuselage cracks. Co-authored analysis of stress applied to 777 wings during robotic painting.

• Conducted a Cargo System Health Assessment on-site @ Evergreen Maintenance Facility (Taipei) for EVA Airlines. Conducted complete electrical / mechanical test of the cargo system checking for reported fleet issues and fielding questions and complaints from the cargo handling crew.

• Led team of 50+ engineers and tech designers to Boeing Level 4 LEAN certification for improving organization of design and manufacturing engineering server data.

• Led the technical review, corrective actions, and authored certification plan for FAA voluntary disclosure of cargo ceiling missing joint flammability data. Developed and instructed a training class to mitigate future errors.

• Led design changes through complete engineering release process - investigation, redesign, and drawing release.
