7-16 to present PDS Communications as the owner and sole proprietor of PDS communications. I have been providing commercial network installation and repair for major commercial accounts like Holiday Inn, Marriott, BHN, Charter, Disney (ABC), NBC, CBS, FOX and several others. These services include distributed networks utilizing WAN based coax, UTP

(Telecom and PBX networks) and fiber optic infrastructure that carried HSD SAN, LAN and HD video data as well as voice hosted networks utilized in VoIP applications. 7-13 to 6-5-2016 Abbott Laboratories (Johnson Services Group) as a Fiber Optic Technical Engineer. Reviewed design drawings and implemented fiber optic installs in a class 1, 2 and 3 data center environment. Extensive experience with 1Gb/s, 4Gb/s, 8Gb/s, 10Gb/s as well as 40/100Gb/s fiber data/video networks. Both singlemode and multimode fiber types are used. Utilized test equipment like optical power meters, OTDR, OSA, ONA and LAN diagnostic gear. Worked with Sales and manufacturing in a support capacity where I reviewed customer requirements and made recommendations as to best fit fiber products for a given application. I also designed custom panels using ACAD for large stadiums, college campuses and television studio applications. Lead a team of various manufacturing disciplines that included mechanical, optical, software and electrical engineering talents. I developed a training and certification program that was in compliance to ISO9000 standards. Level 2-3 document control systems. I worked with the manufacturing team to develop automated software that produced over 5000 optical transceivers per day. Lead LEAN efforts in manufacturing to reduce manufacturing costs by 25% and improve efficiencies by using automation, JIT, 5S and KANBAN techniques. I also worked with team to develop secure SQL databases by using XML and Java® user front ends for data entry and security. Worked with supply chain and QA to develop an AVL system to manage component/vendor quality by creating mechanical/electrical/optical automated & manual testing on incoming material. 7-97 to 7-05 Stratos Lightwave as ME Engineering Technician. I calibrated optical transceiver devices used in early optical networks. My common duties included test logging datasheets, servicing and programming x-y dispensing robots, 6 axis soldering robots and servicing pick and place SMT machines.
