Resume:

I had worked in Universal Energy Pte Ltd and held the position of an Assistant Operation Manager. The key portfolio of my job includes coaching and handling the daily scheduling of 9 marine fuel oil and 2 marine gas oil bunker barges for supply to vessels and close monitoring of job timings and ship arrivals to ensure the smooth running of operations. I am also the covering officer for ex-wharf loading operations and post deliveries matters.

I started working in Universal Energy in 2015 as a Programmer, I am fully responsible for the company’s bunker operations, I work with another 4 programmers to monitor, execute and ensure that the daily schedule that I have planned facilitates the smooth delivery of bunker service to the company’s clients.

I managed to hit our monthly volume targets and achieved third ranked bunker supplier in Singapore in 2016 and eventually was promoted to the position of an Assistant Manager in 2017.

Together with my colleagues, we coordinate the nomination of loadings for bunker barges from suppliers to ensure a smooth flow of bunker supply to our clients. To facilitate the smooth daily operations, we coordinate the liaison work between the buyer of the cargo, cargo supplier and loading terminals. Close monitoring is required to ensure that there is sufficient cargo on-board to meet the jobs requests in a timely manner.

Prior to this, I was working in Millennium Oil Pte Ltd as an Operations Executive. I was the master planner for the daily bunker deliveries and loading operations. During daily trading hours, I had to assist the marketing department to offer and negotiate for sales prices for customers’ jobs inquiries for new bunker jobs stemming at the best benefit of our company. I assisted in the monitoring of oil market prices and advised the traders on the timing that is most favourable to purchase Marine Gas Oil for our bunker barges’ consumption to help in cost reduction for the company. I was the key personnel in-charge of monitoring the company’s oil inventory daily and liaise with our customers to ensure that we have sufficient cargos for bunker deliveries on hand and for new job inquiries.

During my National Service with the Singapore Armed Forces in the School of Armour, I served as an Armour Officer in the School Of Armour as a Platoon Commander and instructor in Specialist Training Wing, I am also trained to command and control 3 to 5 armour vehicles at the same time leading a group size of at least 31 men, and bear responsibilities for all their training, morale, discipline and safety. I have thus acquired invaluable and enriching experience in working with people from trainees and specialists to high-ranked officers, producing lesson plans and conducted both lectures and outfield training.

Hence, I will consider myself as an eager learner and one who enjoys working as a team with the company and in meeting people from all walks of lives. In my work, I believe that communication with the different levels of management in an organisation is essential in promoting healthy work environment. While I am independent and self-driven, I am also a strong believer of the company’s objectives.

I am very keen in pursuing the possibility of my employment with your organisation because it is an established and reputable organisation. As such I have attached a copy of my personal resume for your perusal. I would appreciate very much if you would kindly consider my application and grant me an interview. Thank you for your attention.
