As a result driven individual with three years of Human Resource experience, I am eager to work in the field of Human Resources. Specifically, my role as a Human Resource Consultant with the State of New Jersey has provided me the necessary skills in problem solving, communication, and customer service. My daily duties entail identifying complex inconsistences and problem areas within job descriptions and compare them with employee’s current duties by screening resumes and applications. Based on the findings, I independently make suggestions and document the course of action to address routine and complex issues. Human Resource Consultant 1, Customer Service Unit Aug. 2016 – Present
Follow procedures and guidelines supporting the New Jersey Administrative Code Title 4A. Used database, resumes, and job specifications when making determinations for Open Competitive and Promotional reviews.
Completes special projects and requests from beginning to end within the arranged timeframe.
Provides quality customer service to State and/or local customers and Appointing Authorities through open and frequent communication via email and telephone.
Respond to requests and schedule approximately 3 - 5 audits per week, when necessary may reach out for clarification.
Demonstrates proficiency in the ability to identify issues, obtain relevant information, and compare data from various sources while paying close attention to details.
Utilizes systems including, but not limited to: PMIS, CAMPS, EXAMS, OAS, VATS, and CSS to perform technical work on a daily basis. Inputs new announcements through VATS, print PMIS sheets to confirm organizational chart structure and confirm employees’ positions, and enter CSS online requests.
Identify and analyze complex operational issues; review incoming classification appeals, check files to confirm all the necessary documents are located in the folder, such as Position Classification Questionnaires (DPF-44), Performance Assessment Review (PAR), organizational charts and employee work history. Documents must be completed in its’ entirety and signed before the review begins.
Independently prepare and conduct between 3 – 5 classification audits per week. Submit drafted determination letters to supervisor with detailed information justifying or denying new position classifications and reclassification for current positions.
Thoroughly review the department’s organizational structure and classification for both current and requested positions; makes recommendations for reclassification, demotion, and/or make suggestions for appropriate titles.
