PROJECTS SRM University, India Sep 2013 - Apr 2014 Network Selection Strategy using Multiplicative Utility function in Heterogeneous Wireless Networks

● Next Generation Wireless network is going to be the Heterogeneous Wireless Networks where different types of wireless networks such as WiMAX, Wi-Fi coexist. So, it is important that the users get connected to the best available network.

● In this project, network selection is performed based on Multiplicative Utility function. In order to consider mobility characteristics of the user, a new concept of Residual Residence Time (RRT) was proposed to help the users to always get connected to the best available network.

● Numerical simulations were performed using MATLAB to study the efficiency of the proposed system.

Cochin University of Science and Technology

Xbee Robo for Remote Data Access Apr 2010 - Mar 2011

● Xbee Robo is designed for accessing data wirelessly from hazardous or remote areas such as mines, earthquake prone areas where human life is at risk.

● This project is developed using Embedded Technology.

● We were a group of four and we couldn’t get all the components initially, so we had to multitask and perform well under pressure to meet the deadlines. Optical Heart Rate Meter Jan 2009 - Mar 2009

● Optical heart rate meter is a device to find out the heart rate of a patient using optical methods.

● Optical method uses RED light and a sensor to find out the pulse from the finger of a patient. From these pulses, the heart rate of a person can be found.
