Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the position of a Registered Staff Nurse in your prestige healthcare institution to begin my long-term career in Australia. My application in Australia is greatly inspired by my recent travel and stay in Sydney as I have relatives living there. I have completed my Initial Registration for Overseas Nurses Programme under Lonsdale Institute last 23 November 2017. I had my placement at Myrtleford, Victoria for Aged Care and Acute placement at Bright, Victoria. I am now a registered as a DIV 1 RN.

I have worked as a full-time registered staff nurse in a general nursing unit (Medical-Surgical) for the last 3 years at St. Luke’s Medical Center – Quezon City, Philippines. It is a Joint Commission International accredited institution for its strict adherence to the international quality management standards and it is also accredited by TEMOS which is a Germany-based international accrediting body as well.

I was assigned in Medical-Surgical unit where I render nursing care across all aspects of nursing care for patients who underwent major abdominal operation like Colon surgeries and other laparoscopic surgeries. Mostly I took care of patients with pre-operative, post-operative and medical needs. Some of them require high level of care especially the older patients. This area has fully nurtured my general Nursing background and helped me to develop both my educational and clinical nursing skill for a much challenging work ahead. It is also where I gained my medical-surgical nursing skills by handling clients from different age group ranging from paediatrics to geriatrics. In addition, I was also designated as a Charge Nurse for this 39-bed capacity Medical-Surgical ward supervising staff nurses, patient care assistants and ward clerks for about two years.

As a highly motivated nurse, I am very willing and open to try other areas of nursing. My comprehensive experience in my previous employment has helped me to develop and improve my clinical eye and critical analysis. In this regard, I am confident that my knowledge and clinical skills are enough to contribute and be an asset of your institution. I would like to ask your good office if you can sponsor me for a 457 Visa if I become successful in the application.
