Controlling the daily responsibilities of the company’s service organization. Managing the repairs and maintenance of Nuclear Imaging Micro-PET & Micro-SPECT cameras plus a line of TLC (Thin layer chromatography) units. Micro-PET & Micro-SPECT devices are tools used in the imaging of small animals.

Assigned project defining radiation levels of CT camera at University of Notre Dame’s Science Center.

Promoted from Assistance Service Manager to World Wide Service Manager after only three months.

Managed the service, preventive maintenance and acquisition of Digital Radiography & Imaging Equipment at Columbia Presbyterian Center’s entire campus. This included their PAC systems and DICOM networks.

Supervised all aspects of $10,000,000 account plus 5 imaging engineers and numerous key venders.

VASOMEDICAL: National Service Manager / Manager of Sales Admin Westbury, NY 2000-2001 Supervised daily operations of the company’s National Service department. Negotiated contracts and provided sales team with necessary business data. Reviewed all documentation pertaining to the function of service. Administrated policies & procedures for sales & service. Established a high-tech client data base.

Visited key accounts all over the United States. Dealt successfully with customers that needed particular attention or had special requirements. Specialized in controlling customer hot sites.

Recruited a national team of specialized field service engineers plus a dispatcher to support the company’s growing service needs. I completed this in a particularly cost effective and timely manner.

MASTER PLAN COHR/Aramark: District Service Manager New York & New Jersey Chatsworth, CA 1997-1999

Responsible for implantation of Master Plan’s standards. Achieved an immense working knowledge of all procedures, policies, budgets, and financial reports. Directed jobs performed by my team of Account Managers, Biomedical Engineers & Clerical support staff. Negotiated various types of vendor contracts.

Was responsible for major accounts in the NYC area. Managed all the service activity for the entire Health Insurance Plan’s Fifty-three Centers. HIP generated over $2 million in annual revenue.

Secured business contracts from over ten different hospitals. A lead I developed resulted in the acquisition of a biomedical contract form GE for a three Hospital system. (Liberty Health Care of NJ). This account still active has grown into a ten man biomedical engineering department producing over $1.5 million a year for Master Plan /Aramark.

Assisted in Joint Commission inspections at various Hospitals.

FISHER CONSULTING SERVICES: Technical Service Consultant Troy, MI 1995-1997

Performed as a technical consultant for key medical related accounts. Served as the on-site Asset Manager & Technical Consultant for contracted medical equipment facilities. Responsibilities included budgeting, utilization, analysis planning, equipment assessment, service costs & trend analysis. Key accounts included Newark Beth Israel Medical center, Pennsylvania University Hospital, Health Insurance Plan of New York.

Inherited a hostile account and was able to totally turn around customer’s acceptance of the company’s program. This saved the company from losing over $850,000 in annual sales revenue.

In a joint effort with Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, I renegotiated billable travel time with four different key vendors. These changes saved the hospital over $100,000 a year in service expenditures.

SIEMENS MEDICAL: Ultrasound Specialist & Radiation Therapy Engineer Issaquah, WA 1990-1994

Responsibilities included servicing and installing their entire line of ultrasound systems. Key component of a national technical support team. Completed training on and serviced X-ray generators plus radiation therapy systems. Was a key member of a national service team responsible for complex field upgrades.

Chosen to work with major accounts on a national level to resolve complicated customer problems. In one specific incident in Johnson City N.Y. I prevented Siemens from losing an $800,000 sales order.

Initiated sales and renewals of service contracts resulting in the region having the country’s largest revenue-generating contract base. Provided a lead that resulted in $200,000 of new equipment sales.

HEWLETT PACKARD: Ultrasound Specialist & Customer Service Engineer Paramus, NJ 1986-1989

Responsibilities included servicing and installing cardiac ultrasound and patient monitoring systems in the New York and New Jersey metropolitan areas. Was accountable for training and providing technical support for newly hired engineers. Supported the service of patient monitoring and EKG systems 24/7.

Developed a computerized customer profile, making tracking of equipment service history easier. This resulted in me receiving an excellence performance award as member of year’s most profitable district.

COLENTA PHOTO PROCESSING: National Field Service Engineer Paramus, NJ 1985-1986

Installed and serviced computerized video photography equipment and video printers. Managed complete installations of professional & mini-photo labs all over the world. Provided technical phone support to customers and other onsite engineers. Was responsible for coordination of all my travel arrangements.
