06/2014-Present 1ST Battalion/362ND Air Defense Artillery-Camp Atterbury, Edinburg, IN: First Army Academy Observer Coach/Trainer & Avenger Master Gunner

• Advised the Commander on training readiness and mobilization of Active and Reserve component forces. Trained and evaluated seven Army National Guard Short Range Air Defense Artillery Battalions which have 238 Soldiers in each unit.

• Trained Soldiers on individual and platoon collective tasks that support wartime missions during Inactive Duty Training, Annual Training, Culminating Training Events, and Operational Readiness Evaluations, which resulted in 98.8% passing rate.

• Validated doctrinal tactics, techniques and procedures, resulting in excellent war-time training prior to unit deploying. Maintained accountability and maintenance for equipment valued at $135,940.

02/2013-05/2014 4TH Battalion/5TH Air Defense Artillery –Fort Hood, Killeen, Texas:

Battalion/Brigade Operations Non-Commissioned Officer

• Trained 235 Soldiers of the Battalion and Brigade on Digital Training Management System Operations. Provided tactical and technical guidance and professional support to subordinate units while they were deployed, using the Digital Training Management System.

• Maintained accountability, maintenance, and readiness of equipment valued at $282,360. Performed duties as the Operations Sergeant Major in his absence.

06/2011-01/2013 Echo Battery, 4TH Battalion/5TH Air Defense Artillery –Fort Hood, Killeen, Texas: Platoon Sergeant-Deployed to Afghanistan

• Managed the welfare, fitness, morale, discipline and readiness of 32 Soldiers. Planned and executed over 225 combat missions during Operation New Dawn.

• As a Platoon Sergeant, Maintained accountability, maintenance, and readiness for equipment values over $12,000.00 worth of equipment. Advised the Platoon Leader on the technical and tactical employment of the Avenger Weapon System.

• Displayed impartial punishment and reward; publicly recognized good conduct in Soldiers; developed and counseled Squad Leaders when standard was not met.

05/2008 - 05/2011 Headquarters, Headquarters Battery, 6TH Air Defense Artillery Brigade–Fort Sill, Oklahoma: Brigade Operations Non-Commissioned Officer, Advance Individual Training Instructor, Youth Program Volunteer

• Served as a Brigade Operations Non-Commissioned Officer, responsible for the supervision, training, mentorship, leadership, safety and professional growth of six Soldiers.

• Volunteered over 2652 hours as the Ridgecrest Elementary School’s Parent and Teacher Association Vice President and as the Booster Club President.

08/2006 - 04/2008 India Troop, 1ST Squadron, 11TH Armored Cavalry Regiment– Fort Irwin, Barstow, CA: Section Sergeant, Training Administration Clerk

• Served as a Stinger Section Sergeant for an air defense platoon, with a go to war mission and a rotational requirement at the National Training Center, which resulted in a 92% passing rate for those units.

• Maintained the accountability, maintenance, and readiness of six SA-18s, two HMMWVs, and all associated equipment valued in excess of $900,000.

• Served as the Training Administration Clerk, responsible for the timely processing and updating of 125 Soldier’s records in multiple systems in a timely manner, which resulted in a 96.5% processing rate.

08/2004 - 07/2006 Charlie Battery, 5TH Battalion, 5TH Air Defense Artillery- Fort Lewis, Seattle, WA, -Deployed to Iraq: Section Sergeant, Engagement Operations Cell, Battle Non-Commissioned Officer, Section Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant

• Served as a Stinger Section Sergeant and as a Stinger Platoon Sergeant for an air defense platoon, with a go to war mission in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom III.

• Maintained three Land Phalanx Weapon System Remote Control Stations, one FAAD C2I (Forward Area Air Defense Station), one AMDWS (Air and Missile Defense Work Station) System, and one HMMWV (High Mobile Military Work Vehicle) valued in excess of four million dollars.

• Utilized personal time to build numerous projects for the Battery’s Morale Welfare and Recreation facility while deployed in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom III.

• Trained five squad members on Counter Rocket and Mortar battle drills during combat operations resulting in the destruction of five RPGs (Rocket Propelled Grenada’s), and four 120mm Mortar rounds from enemy indirect fire attacks.

09/2001 - 07/2004 Delta Battery, 1ST Battalion, 4TH Air Defense Artillery Battalion: Team Chief, Sergeant - McCully Barracks, Mainz, Germany; -Deployed to Iraq

• Served as an Avenger Team Chief for an air defense platoon with a go-to-war mission in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

• Selected over 14 other Non-Commissioned Officers within the unit to be an Observer Controller at Combat Maneuver Training Center in support of 1ST Battalion, 1ST Calvary Regiment.

• Showed concern for Soldiers by dealing with their issues in a prompt and timely manner, enabling maximum participation in all missions.

• Emphasizes on safety resulted in zero accidents during rated period, to include deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
