CLINICAL DUTIES
Takes personal data of clients and issues chart
Take baseline vital signs and establishes rapport with the client
Takes history of present illness, then assesses and evaluates category of bite according to the algorithm
Maintains accurate client’s record
Maintains confidentiality
Carries out doctor’s orders
Observe aseptic technique at all times
Monitors client schedule towards completing the series of vaccination
Provides referral to other agencies for indigent clients
Explains the purpose of the vaccines to the client and corresponding cost before administering
Handles the vaccines with care when preparing and administering it to clients. (Sees to it that the vaccines are maintained in cold chain)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Educates patients; responds to consultations made by physicians.
Attends regular clinic sessions and carries out nursing duties either independently or will assist physicians in conducting consultations and examinations, for eligible employees and dependants.
Oversees patient schedules, appointments, and procedures; attends and assists during surgical procedures
Capable of performing a range of routine nursing procedures.
Competency in performing basic physiological measurements including but not limited to: Vital signs monitoring, ECG, Audiometry, Spirometry
Performs patient histories and physical examinations under physician supervision; evaluates results and monitors treatment plans; maintains medical records.
Participates in health and wellness promotion activities.
Provides basic immediate life support treatment and administers more advance life support as directed by a physician.
Arranges the transfer of patients requiring hospitalization or other clinical attention.
Maintain and update nursing records in order to have complete accurate case histories.
Maintain an exemplary level of confidentiality.
Constantly evaluate work environment to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

DENTAL NURSE
Performs high quality dental nursing whilst assisting the dentists in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the Code of Ethics.

Ensures that the surgical areas and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained, including aspiration systems and autoclaves, paying all due attention to relevant legal and ethical codes, in addition to the practice policy in respect of cross infection control and Health and safety.
Keeps accurate records and ensures the recording methods are used in line with agreed practice policy and recommendations from official bodies.

Assists at reception and perform other clerical duties if required.
Set-up and prepare the surgery for the type of patient and treatment planned before the start of each session.

Continually interprets the needs of the patients and dentists and deal with them promptly and efficient.
Check patient’s medical history information is up to date and advise the dentists of any problems noted.
