Plant Manager 03/15 to present

I currently direct activities of 25 direct reports that produce various machined parts using different types of ferrous materials. I started out as manufacturing manager but was promoted to Plant Manager in 2016. These parts are used in the automotive, agricultural, and various other industries. Machines used are Davenports, New Britains, and Acme screw machines. Delo produces over 150,000 parts daily and produces nearly 300 different parts. Reduced scrap from 5% to around .2% while increasing on time shipping from 76% to our current on time shipping at 94%. No lost time work accidents. Increased labor efficiency from 91% to 107%.

Wyandot Inc., Marion, Ohio

Operations Area Manager 01/2013 – 06/2014

I directed operations of 125 direct reports and 15 indirect reports making over 300 different food products. I was responsible for scheduling of production, employee training, employee relations, and relations with union officials while meeting company goals. Reduced scrap by over $600,000 in 2013 and turned around a company that lost money for 15 years that made a profit in 2013. I directed operations to maintain a 100% on time shipping record.

Cardington Yutaka Technologies, Cardington, Ohio

Quality Manager 04/2012 – 01/2013

I directed 35 reports to inspect, measure, and sort various parts that included torque converters, catalytic converters, and muffler systems. This included checking for bad welds, improperly stamped parts, or improperly bent muffler pipes. I was responsible for all purchased parts that Cardington purchased which, was over 500 part numbers working with 41 vendors in 7 countries. I am also ISO certified and was involved with creating various quality protocols with vendors to decrease defects for Honda vehicles. Routinely analyzed quality protocols and updated them as needed. Oversaw quality for our sister plant in Cullman, Alabama plus did onsite inspections to find ways to fix a vendor defect including writing a quality check sheet. I routinely interacted with Honda personnel on any part defect and any prototype parts that would need PPAP approval for future Honda models.

Project Supervisor 10/2011-04/2012

I directed 113 employees at 13 different locations throughout Ohio. This included plants making parts out of various materials from plastic extrusion, window manufacturing, stamping, welding, and various other quality problems with Honda vehicles. I would have to solve problems that caused issues with quality for Honda vehicles. I oversaw, wrote, and trained employees and what the inspection protocols and goals were for each part that was to be inspected. Responsible for planning manpower for all 13 locations as well as visiting each location at planned days and times to verify quality protocols were being followed and paperwork was completed accurately and efficiently. Directed audits on all sorted parts to verify parts were being inspected as instructed.

Production worker working with different types of processes for various automotive components such as plastics, molding, welding, stamping, rubber, and assembly of these components. Trained in quality procedure of QS9000 and was in charge of training others on how to use and follow QS9000 procedures. Oversaw customer quality problems and was in charge of site visits to determine how the quality issues were caused and how to implement a strategy to eliminate future problems.
