Currently working in FORCE MOTORS LTD, Pune, Maharashtra, OEM for Auto Manufacture in India, for period of 3.5 years to till date working as a Asst. Manager at Engine Design, development and testing department in RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER (R&D)
Job responsibilities:
Concept planning, Design and developing of components using CATIA V-5.0 and part development and production support for new component development
Concept design of air intake system(Air filter and intake manifold calculation, Turbocharger selection, cylinder head port swirl analysis by using AVL fire software), Crank shaft and flywheel design and crank shaft balancing calculation
Fuel injection design concept and detail design for BS-IV emission norms( injector selection, injector location and injection angle finalization and validation on test bench
Cylinder block, Oil sump, Auxiliary drive (FEAD-AC, PS and alternator belt drive) system structural design and analysis. Validation of these parts on engine test bench and vehicle endurance
Concept design of After-treatment system, DOC,POC,DPF and SCR pressure drop calculation, SCR mixture design of experiment and flow analysis
Proprietary components like water pump, oil pump, thermostat, Air filter, radiator, spark plug, oil filter, EGR cooler, oil separator, chain tensioner, piston. Connecting rod, cylinder head gasket and cylinder liner components were carried out 1000 hrs endurance cycle as per IS10000 in engine test bed and 1lakh kms vehicle endurance.
Interrogates with various department to validate design against the failure mode, DFMEA preparation for sub aggregates. Identify the issues and necessary action taken on design modification on time to full fill the technical requirement.
Supplier drawing and components approval process, DVP(Design validation plan), technical part lists release, Design release (DMN)
CFT (DMU review, CAE feedback, Production support, field visits, Benchmarking) to do a complete product development for engine aggregate.
Engine calibration, performance(MAPS) tuning, fuel economy, emission tuning(ignition, injection timing, after treatment calibration) to meet BS-III,BS-IV, BS-VI norms
Speed limitation calibration, IOBD-II calibration in vehicle level activities to confirm the type approval in ARAI. Support activity for production vehicle in COP (conformance to production) to pass MIDC and ETC(European transient cycle) emission cycle and IOBD-II test for CD and ED route vehicles.
Trouble shooting the DTC(engine diagnostic code) and identify the problems related to sensors(All Temperature,pressure, boost, MAP, oxygen sensors), actuators, throttle body, spark plug, injectors, CATCON (catalytic converter) to meet regular performance and emissions.

5 cylinder Turbo CNG BS-IV engine (TG3250 TCIC) for Tempo traveler (T2) vehicle
4 cylinder natural aspirated (NA) BS-IV engine for tempo traveler (T1), Trax and Trump vehicles
4 cylinder NA diesel BS-III engine converting to Turbo diesel engine for Trax vehicle variants

Various engine aggregate component design and development like intake system, exhaust system, cooling system, auxiliary drive system
Involvement in concept planning, Design and developing of 3D models using Pro/engineer-5.0 and prepare Detailed 2D-drawings as per GD & T for respective CAD models
Packaging work for engine components with other vehicle aggregates. Proto part development and production support for new component development
Interrogates with various department to validate design against the failure mode, DFMEA preparation for sub aggregates. Identify the issues and necessary action taken on design modification on time to full fill the technical requirement.
Assemble drawing, clients drawing DVP, technical part lists update in PLM, Design release (DML) in PLM team center.

Simulation work for engine aggregate components. Model analysis for engine components by using Pro/Mechanica and CFD simulation of coolant passage and exhaust gas flow for pressure drop optimization by using AVL fire & Ansys fluent.
Projects handled:
New Safari Storme with 2.2l DICOR engine project which improves Safari into major face lift to meet high performance and better outlook .
Integration of 2.2l DICOR engine with Winger vehicle to meet BS4 emission norms.
2.2L DICOR engine on Xenon vehicle With SCR exhaust system to meet EURO-VI emission norms. Pressure drop prediction across the SCR system using AVL- Fire.
Performed 3D CFD study of Intake port Swirl for finding effect of different Turbulence models on Swirling flow. Also, performed correlation between CFD model and measured data of Swirl and Flow
2.2L DICOR Stallion engine integration on Aria vehicle as cost & weight reduction program.
