New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, NJ
Bachelor of Science: Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanics, Minor in Business
Cumulative GPA: 3.1, Anticipated Graduation: May 2018
Honors/Awards: NJIT Deans List, Mrs. Prakash Kapoor Endowed Memorial Scholarship
Relevant Coursework: Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry I&II, Biology, Chemical Foundation, Physics I&II, Statics, Dynamics, Computer Science, Biomechanics, Biocomputing, CAD for Biomechanics, Marketing, Accounting, Management
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project
Working knowledge: Creo Parametric 3.0 (CAD), Matlab, Excel, BioPac Systems
PROJECTS:
New Jersey Institute of Technology
Designed a rehabilitation chair utilizing physics, biomechanics, and Creo Parametric 3.0. This chair incorporates many innovative features that will be put to use in neuroscience research to treat patients with convergence insufficiency by the end of 2018.
New Jersey Institute of Technology
Successfully designed and programmed a LEGO® Mindstorm robot utilizing Matlab R2014. The Mindstorm was encoded to carry out multiple biomedical surgical procedures including inserting a catheter and placing a surgical stent.
New Jersey Institute of Technology
Developed and conducted multiple physiological lab experiments including:
Simulating the Valsalva maneuver (Diagnostic procedure used to detect/evaluate irregularities in heart rhythm)
Simulating muscle fatigue to show relevant changes in signal amplitude and frequency of an electromyogram(EMG) signal
Each experiment was carefully executed by a small group of students with little guidance from the professor to encourage the use of knowledge gained from previous courses.
JFK/JRI Prosthetics & Orthotics Lab
Created a modified prosthetic CAD design utilizing Creo Parametric 3.0. The design incorporated many different modern designs believed to increase amputee comfort in hope to move forward with the device in a future company.
