ENGINEERING JOB AND PROJECT EXPERIENCE
LMI Aerospace Engineering Planner
December 2017-Present
●Working with customers from Boeing and Gulfstream
●Identify customer’s ordered parts/assemblies/kits that have not been planned and the tools necessary to manufacture parts.
●Supporting manufacturing engineers by checking for the existence of raw materials, documents, tools, components and sub-components needed.
●Make plans for manufacturing operations, update and revise work order.
●Solve engineering problems by identifying the cause and come up with solutions. For example: Redesign racks and reduce water disturbance in order to prevent aircraft parts from being distorted during heat treat and quenching. Identify and prevent potential causes of deformation, such as non-uniform heating, non-uniform cooling, and uneven stretching, etc. Perform experiments to find out exactly when the deformation happens.
●Experience with machining, CNC, and milling.
●Work with quality engineers to ensure that parts meet quality standards and specifications.
●Perform structural analysis on part orders.
●Come up with test strategies and test plans, gather data from experiments to analyze.
SDSU Rocket Project
January 2015 to August 2017
●Experienced in composites fabrication with fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc.
●Designed a decoupler, boosters, and nose cones for a multi-stage rocket and designed a failure mode for the decoupler.
● Machined the rocket’s fins, decoupler bolts, nose cones, fairings and many other components.
●Worked on avionic systems and many other electronic parts, such as resistors, capacitors, and circuit boards.
Supersonic Business Jet Design Project August 2016 to May 2017
●Successfully designed an aircraft that can reach a maximum speed of Mach 2.1 and a maximum height of 55,000 feet.
●Leadership role in aircraft structural design and analysis. Responsible for structural frame of aircraft for specific loadings.
●Designed engines and wings to analyze aircraft aerodynamics and performance in a team oriented environment.
●Knowledgeable in efficient fuselage configurations and engine locations for better lift to drag ratios for supersonic jets.
●Designed and performed structural analysis on aircraft configuration, wings, tails and landing gear.
Single Stage Axial Turbine Design
January 2017 to May 2017
●Designed an airfoil shape of a rotor and stator for a gas turbine, where CFD analysis, such as drag, pressure distribution, friction distribution and heat transfer were conducted.
2-Stage Rocket Design
January 2017 to May 2017
●Calculated flight path, designed fuel tanks and engines for a space shuttle to carry a 200 Kg payload to a low earth orbit of 300 Km.
Wing Loading Analysis Project
August 2016 to December 2016
●Studied force vibrations and analyzed stress, frequencies and wing deflections under different flight conditions.
Mileage Efficient Car
August 2010 to June 2012
●Successfully designed, built and tested a prototype car that achieved 368 miles/gallon.
AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Americas Shell Eco Marathon Competition, 2011
●2nd place for the most mileage efficient car (368 miles/gallon)
●1st place in safety award
Washington State University Infrastructure Competition, 2011
●2nd place
Washington State University Imagine Tomorrow Competition, 2011
●Favorite new team award
