Special Investigations Unit Investigator

This unit covered all nineteen counties in the DFW District.

Responsible for investigating high-profile, complex investigations, including investigation of Alleged Perpetrators who held any state license (registered nurses, certified nurse's aide, licensed vocation nurse, etc) .

Familiar w/forensic investigations and interviewing classes pertaining to complex investigations. Maintained confidentiality in investigations regarding high dollar exploitation from thousands to millions of dollars.

Worked with local law enforcement, District Attorney’s Offices, private investigators, and FBI as needed on case by case basis. Reported criminal activity to law enforcement if met criteria, and presented cases to the appropriate District Attorney’s Office if criminal intent was found.

Nominated by upper management and graduated as the only graduate in APS of the Leadership Academy for The Health and Human Services Commission for the State of Texas. Received the CORE Value award for RESPECT for our District 2015.

Developed and provided training to Social Work students at Texas Woman’s University in regard to the agency’s scope. Developed a survey that was disbursed among State Agencies and all levels to pinpoint what qualities were most respected in a leader.

Provided services after normal working hours and on weekends to maintain 24-hour coverage, including receiving reports of alleged abuse, neglect or exploitation.
