From February 4, 1980 to October 31, 2017

Worked with Hawkins Cookers Limited in various capacities before retiring as Head of Customer Service designated as Chief Executive – Customer Service (reporting to Executive VP – Marketing).

Core Job Responsibilities held in various departments during my career are as follows:

1) Chief Executive – Customer Service from October 2009 to October 2017

Planning and Executing Sales strategies differently for Modern Retailers, Online Retailers and GIFTM segments

Working with Modern Retailers and Online Retailers to launch new products / to extend the product range.

Development of Modern Retailers and Online Retailers network through field visits and top level meetings

Training Modern Retailers Stores personnel on product knowledge and selling techniques, problem solving, sales analysis and sales promotion schemes

Handling customer queries/issues received through emails, or on phone and guiding Service team to handle customer relations.

Organising Training Programme for Authorised Service Centres and monitoring them for their performance

Helping the company in organising Domestic and International Dealer Conferences

Handling Exhibitions like IITF and Sales Exhibitions in various States

Responsible for financial performance of the entire department

2) Chief Executive –Zonal Sales (for various zones within India) for more than 23 years

Planning and Executing Sales strategies for Civil Institutional and Canteen Stores Department segments of the market to achieve Sales targets with the assistance of Regional Heads and field force.

Responsible for financial performance of the Zone.

Assisting the senior officers in formulating various trade schemes and policies for improving Sales.

Launch of new products / Extension in range

Development of Dealers network, CSD depots and URC’s

Co-ordinating with dealers and service centres for various sales promotion schemes, policies, budgets and advertising plans

Developing strategies to sell through Dealer’s stock, e.g. distribution of their stock to Indirect Dealers, Demonstrations in Institutions etc

Helping Consumer Service Department to solve consumer problems

Managing Depots / C & FA’s in planning depots and dealers stocks, managing revenues and implementation of distribution policies

3) Senior General Manager – Advertising from October 1994 to October 2000

Managed an Advertising Budget of Rs.10 crore

Development of brand and product concepts, POS material, corporate mailer, Annual Report etc.

Developing and executing mass media advertising and sales promotion campaigns in the print medium for various brands of pressure cookers, cookware and accessories.

Conceptualisation of TV commercials

Development of Product Packaging design, cookbook and all other jobs related to packaging

Designing and organising market research

Development of Dealer Co-operative Advertising systems for field level implementation of these programmes

Managing and supervising advertising agency, printers and suppliers

Designing & organising placement of merchandising material viz. Glow Sign Boards, Glow Sign Boxes, Tin shop Boards, Display Stands, etc

Managed & Supervised direct marketing activity with the help of Demonstration Representatives from October 1994 to January 1997. This included supervision of around 60 demonstration representatives with the help of field people, touring 250 towns in 12 states with an annual operating budget of Rs. 40 lakhs, Training of Demonstration Representatives, monitoring the entire field operation to keep check on cost & to ensure profitability
