Project: Redbird
Description:
Redbird is a Voice based Supply Chain and Logistics management product which improves the performance, reliability, productivity, accuracy and safety in the Logistics marketplace. The main objective of Redbird is to hear the Voice of the Customer. REX (Redbird Execution Engine) takes care of the interaction between the operator and the TTS (Text to Speech) device. Redbird handles the T5 Talkman device which is used by the operator in order to perform a task in the large stores easily. The speech recognition technique involved in the TTS is used to perform the task with more accuracy and reliability. The VoiceIDE plug-in is developed in Eclipse to create a Tasklet/Dialog which helps the operator to accomplish the task.
Redbird mainly revolves around People Task which is the basic task used for the interaction between the operator and the TTS using the Speech Recognition software.
Agile Methodology was used more effectively in Redbird using Rally. The User Stories containing small tasks were accomplished within a sprint (2 weeks) time. The Burn-Up, Burn-Down charts helped the team to complete the assigned tasks in the stipulated time.
