SELECTED CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
In a Project Manager role, I coordinated over eighty (80) company acquisitions from a systems & data perspective that required communication between our outside partners and our internal systems teams. I authorized the steps that needed to be taken to accomplish the following:
Convert the data from the Donnelly system data format to our in-house production system format in a separate database.
Merging the converted data from the newly created Yellowbook database to the existing production database.
Created the Quality Assurance testing methodology before the data went live on our production system.
Authored the three (3) month long production system monitoring process for post conversion/merges.
As a Root Cause Systems Analyst, I designed, built, and populated a database of raw data, similar to a data warehouse. The positive outcome of this analysis was that users were able to query the database to assist in finding the root cause of an application related system problem. Additionally, I was able to integrate this database into many other platforms within our organization.
As a System Performance Improvement Supervisor, I accomplished the following:
In an effort to identify and eliminate obsolete programs I initiated an effort to have the primary production system application code analyzed to determine code that directly contributed to increased process runtimes unnecessarily. The positive outcome resulted in a 25%-30% decrease in runtimes of the production, sales, commissions, and financial processes and reports.
I initiated an effort to have the production code modified to run more efficiently. It resulted in an additional 10%-15% decrease in runtimes across the board.
I designed and developed application utilities/tools that allowed the overnight Operations Group to run their processes more efficiently. This avoided system contention between normal production processes and nighttime processes. It also resulted in overnight processes being completed sooner and the production system to be more readily available when needed sooner. Daily company-wide productivity increased by 15%-20%
In my Applications Testing role, I created and implemented a company-wide production application change procedure, and documented and maintained a Standard Operating Procedure library of information for all divisions of the company.
