Project Description:

Alaska Airlines is a major airline carrier which relies on majorly computerized systems for all its operations. This project handles end to end development of Front-End and Back-End interfaces and Web services for the WEB and KIOSK Self-Service Check-in systems for tickets booked through Alaska Airlines.

Responsibilities:

Working as Feature lead for the newly developed enhancements in the Self-Service Business logic.

Developing in C++ language using Visual Studio 2008 / 2013.

Fixing defects on the Self-Service Application developed using C# language.

Preparing project required documents like Feature specific document, Business Rules document, application flow documents, packaging related documents, etc.

Packaging and Delivery processes using Jenkins tool.

Implementing REST Web Services for the application development.

Assisting QA team by participating in functional, E2E and regression testing phases.

External Index and Query (EIQ) Product which is developed on Windows solves most data access, integration, sharing and interoperability challenges faced by organizations in an innovative and unique way. EIQ Products combine technologies from the conventional approaches of data warehousing, federated adapters and enterprise search. Our project is to port this product into Linux platform.

Responsibilities:

Porting C++ code into Linux platform and make it work on both Windows and Linux platforms.

Prepared design notes and technical specifications document based on business requirements.

Fixing build issues on both Windows and Linux.

Unit testing functions by writing boost unit test cases on Linux.

Fixed defects on Oracle connector involving OCI (Oracle call interface) calls.

Fixed defects on ODBC driver involving ODBC (Microsoft Open Database Connectivity) APIs.
