Project Manager for the development of the 11M High Pressure Cartridge Meter – This is the last of the high-pressure cartridge meter line with a replaceable measuring chamber that will pass 11,000-acfh at a maximum pressure of 1,480-psi similar to the 5M/7M versions. Designed the steel casting meter housing in accordance with the Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code. Designed measuring chamber to use as many existing parts as possible to reduce cost.

IT Administrator of the Intralink and Pro/E CAD systems and Product View drawing software system – Manage, upgrade, and back up the Engineering server; coordinate with MIS on network issues involving the CAD files; upgrade, implement and trained staff in the latest versions of the software.

Project Manager for the development 5M/7M High Pressure Cartridge Meter – Rotary meters that can pass either 5,000-acfh or 7,000-acfh at a maximum pressure of 1,480-psi similar to the 1M/3M versions. Redesigned the original design to resolve measuring chamber failures. Designed and manufactured modified prototype impellers that generated a patent application; designed and built all assembly fixtures; created all assembly manuals for internal use and for customer documents; designed a new tool for cartridge removal and installation. Designed an integral bypass feature as an option that is interchangeable with the standard version.

Project Manager for the analysis and redesign of the injected molded plastic electronic instrument housing – Designed the housing to withstand NEMA requirements and specifications. Investigated, tested, and selected an adhesive for the window that was strong and easy to assemble; analyzed and redesigned the bracket attachments for strength, ease of assembly.

Project Manager for the HTB Meter Line, a new type of high temperature body cartridge meter for the German market - Achieved the project goal of using parts from the main line of meters to reduce cost. Redesigned the original concept to incorporate stronger impellers; redesigned the cartridge to improve the removal and reinstallation process; created all assembly manuals for internal use and customer documents. Designed the steel casting meter housing in accordance with the Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code. Designed an integral bypass feature as an option that is interchangeable with the standard version. Monitored production for a one year period to identify and correct all assembly issues; visited installation sites for customer feedback.

Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Projects – Designed a new injection molded plastic drive gear to reduce the purchase price by 85%; redesigned a gear clamp stamping to reduce the purchase price by 52%; replaced brass gears with nylon gears to reduce the purchase price by 72%. Investigated over 25 different oils to determine which oil would perform the best and cost the least, resulting in a 85% cost reduction from the current oil.
