Currently, I am the IT Cloud, CRM and Admin manager for Aldea Capital, a private equity firm in Los Angeles
I have worked at, or owned and operated several different businesses in my working
life. In my early years, I traded commodities at the Mercantile Exchange in Chicago,
I was a stock broker with the firm Sincere and Company, and I owned and operated 2 bicycle stores in Chicago and Highland Park Illinois in the 1970’s.
I have been involved with computers, Microsoft Software, the internet networking,
and backup solutions for the past 20 years. I have run my own consulting firm,
Computer Consulting Services in South Africa from 1992 till 2013. My client list was
varied and included Real Estate Firms, Film Companies, Charitable Organizations, a
branch of the South African Parliament, and small companies as well as individuals
with computer problems.

Setup my company in Cape Town, secured monthly maintenance and support
contracts and started to provide a very personalized IT support business. My forte is
trouble shooting computer problems, and the implementation of backup solutions.
This time was a period of virus attacks and I started an advertising and mail campaign
to remove viruses from infected computers which was very successful. In April 2013
I moved back to Los Angeles, which brings us up to date

After a trip to South Africa, I became interested in the Tile and Marble installation
business and opened Italtile USA (inspired by Italtile South Africa) with the help of
my father-in-law. In a short period of time, I managed to secure some high profile tile
and marble installation in and around Beverly Hills. With the help of 15 installers and
my sales ability, we were doing well. Unfortunately in 1991 I was diagnosed with
throat cancer and was no longer able to work in a construction environment. So after
a successful operation, I decided to go back to South Africa to recuperate. It was
during the next few years that I established my Computer Consulting business.
