Roles and Responsibilities –

Erection Activities-

Erection of boiler structure, pressure parts, boiler piping, air-pre heater and ducting.

All IBR-NON IBR PIPING of boiler

Alignments checking of Columns, Ceiling girders, Boiler drum, Headers, Roof panel, Water wall panels, Spiral panels, Ash hopper, Burners, Air-Pre heater, Boiler Piping and Ducting according to the client requirements.

Monitoring day to day execution activities; Structure works e.g. columns, beams, bracings, ceiling girders, rolled beams, welded beams, monorail structure, staircase, handrails, grating, pearling, roof sheeting, cantilevers platform works & respective alignment checks.

Grouting of Columns.

Managing the pre-assembly of Pressure parts panels both spiral & vertical with headers and backstays, roof panels with hangers and headers along with eye on the erection sequence involving checking of the pre-assembled components, tubes with headers, alignment of the panels, headers along with the attachments as per FQP.

Establishing maximum pre-assembly of pressure parts components with proper alignment and preparing erection procedures with systematic placement of winches, hydraulic crawler & tyre mounted cranes etc. ensuring correct mapping of materials to ensure transparency in erection sequence.

Monitoring proper alignment of suspension system.

Maintaining proper placement of buck stays with leveller guides and corner

links.

Maintaining proper placement of soot blowers and maintaining its slope.

Closed eye supervision in spiral panel pre-assembly and erection, at the same time maintaining their alignment.

Furnace bottom hopper pre –assembly and erection.

Skin casing & enclosure work completion.

Managing the pre-assembly and erection of ducting with expansion bellow like Economiser to APH, APH to ESP inlet, BOFA duct, ESP outlet to ID fan, ID outlet to Chimney.

Erection of Gates with blowers and Dampers.

Quality checking for welding works like DP Test, Kerosene Test Etc.

Erection and alignment of boiler pipelines like HSFO line, Fuel Gas line, Auxiliary Steam line HSD line, Atomizing Air line, Igniter line, Sampling line, APH lube oil piping, Service water line, IBD line, CBD line, Drain line, Soot Blower line, Instrument air line and Service air line.

Erection and alignment of APH- Support bearing, lower centre section, baskets, seals, upper centre section, guide bearing, main motor, air motor and soot blower.

Erection and alignment of monorail hoist and control panels of FD and ID fan.

Refractory, Insulation and roof sheeting of boiler.

Making of isometric layout’s, Quality inspection reports for boiler piping and to ensure the required procedures for Commissioning such as completion of checklist’s, LHS, test reports and punch points.

Reconciling of different materials e.g.; nuts, bolts, pins reconciliation, washer plates, tie rods etc with their PGMA numbers.

Handling tools and plants required for execution activities with proper allocation.

Maintaining daily progress reports so as to check the achievement of weekly planned tonnage which in turn is required to follow-up the monthly planned targets in order to avoid any delay in the milestones set by the organisation.

Auditing of the progress sheets from actual planned schedule with proper delay analysis and gear-up with the catch-up plan.

Responsible in mobilizing & managing manpower, machine and materials.

Responsible for daily site planning along with proper adherence to the program and responsible for daily site activities.

Active member of planning team formulating site level rolling plan for the construction activities.

Actively involved in Budgeting of the construction project and Billing Work.

Actively performing operations and maintenance tasks for erection purpose equipment’s as per the established procedures and instructions while ensuring focus on safety and quality standards.

Executing routine jobs.

Preparing & maintaining protocols of the erected materials checked by BHEL, EIL and IOCL.

Assuring quality and safety at working place.

Coordination with the client in for the typical installations.

Executing the erection plan; achieving erection targets & introducing erection improvement plans.

Commissioning Activities-

Hydro- Test of Boiler pressure parts, Boiler piping like HSFO, fuel Gas, auxiliary Steam, atomizing air, HSD, igniter, sampling, service water, soot blower line,fire fighting line, Acw, Impeller wash.

Air and card board blasting of boiler piping.

Air tightening test of furnace and ducting with the help of soap solution.

Preparation of hydro testing scheme

Coordinating the Alkali boil out for boiler pressure parts, preparation and testing of test plate.

Coordinating the acid cleaning for boiler pressure parts.

Coordinating the nitrogen parching of pressure parts.

Coordinating of temporary piping activity for boiler flushing and Steam blowing. Preparation and testing of target Plates during the blowing.

Readiness of systems and Conducting of Pre-Commissioning activities.

Changing the disc and hydrostatic plug of safety valve.

Coordinating in light up of boiler.

Project Evaluation:

Screening new projects and conducting feasibility studies to determine the productive viability of new ventures; projecting equipment’s flow and growth opportunities.

Handling wages disbursement of personnel working in the project.

Project Coordination:

Developing and implementing key execution sequential strategies, marketing policies and ensuring that these strategies / schedules are aligned with organisational objectives.

Resolving & settling disputes / grievances between contractors for ensuring smooth execution and completion of the projects.

Reviewing & finalising various types of drawing with Client such as drawing discrepancies.
