Energy Payback time of a solar photovoltaic powered waste plastic recyclebot system.
Michigan Technological University
A collaborative study that quantified the embodied energy of a vertical DC solar PV powered recyclebot based on life cycle energy analysis
Embodied energy calculation of all the materials inside recyclebot and the power source solar PV using MS Excel
Collated the data between embodied energies of horizontal AC recyclebot, vertical DC recyclebot, conventional recycling and production of a virgin 3D printer filament
Analyzed the changes observed in embodied energy with different filament extrusion like PLA, ABS from waste plastic and virgin plastic by collecting data from recyclebot through lab testing in different environment
Analyzed the changes in embodied energy with AC /DC recyclebot power sources and solar PV power system
Submitted a paper about this project which was
accepted/published by mdpi journal

Additive manufacturing and its application to
understand GD&T
Michigan Technological University
Designed a mechanical product using UG NX with ASME standards and converted it to Stereolithography (STL) version STL were used to create G-codes and utilized for 3D printing Compared the printed part and the mechanical part with respect to geometry, tolerancing and printing material to identify the differences
The observation was presented to explain GD&T and applications of additive manufacturing
