Provided leadership and direction for the gas chromatography (GC) functional group for the greater Pittsburgh area. Provided global harmonization of GC analytical services by facilitating global team calls and providing technical guidance and training to the GC chemists in 10 laboratories around the globe. Coordinated with scientists and engineers in the Powder Coatings small business unit (SBU) to determine VOC s and evolved emissions from coatings at cure temperatures. This information has been used to reformulate coatings to reduce customer complaints and revitalize the business unit.

Work with the Packaging SBU scientists to develop test methods for low level detection (ppb/sub-ppb) of analytes leached from food and beverage packaging coatings that contributed to products meeting regulatory compliance.
