Responsible for the safe and efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and equipment.

Prepare surgical instruments before procedures.

Keep count of surgical instruments with the registered nurse or circulator.

Monitor all members of the surgical team to maintain a sterile field during each procedure.

Transport patients safely to and from the operating room.
