Assembly- Assembled commercial a/c parts. As assembler I would pull the order from the bending area and get everything prepped before the assembling process. The prep process would consist of spot welding, riveting, painting, programming monitors (if needed), printing labels and gather all the wiring that was needed. Also did the packaging for the products and was forklift certified by the company. When our supervisor was absent, he would put me in charge. When I was supervisor for my shift my duties were to pull all the orders that needed to be done that day, made sure everything was being prepped and painted, print paperwork for packaging, also helped with the assembly and made sure work sheet was done at the end of the shift.

Shop Helper – Helped around different departments around the shop. Ran different machines such as; Press brake, hole puncher, drill press, band saw, the shears, angle cutter, and the bevel machine. Did some welding on 1 1/5 inch pipes after we pressed the ends of them. I had to weld the ends to make sure they didn’t leak. Did some paint work on finished products and used forklift to load and unloaded them on the trucks. Wrapped up air ducts in the shipping and receiving area.
Made sure air ducts were secured together before getting wrapped and loaded into the trucks.

Assembler – Was building frac plugs that were used for oil rig down holes. I had my own station where I would receive the parts that go on the frac plug and would assemble the whole part together. I helped drill down the parts on the plugs with a drill press so they won’t fall off the plug. And would sometimes help package the frac plugs in the shipping and receiving station. Used a forklift to load and unload crates on/off trucks for shipping.

Baker/ Team Member – My shift would start at 3a.m. to start my baking. First thing was to turn on the oven to the temperature I would need to bake the bagels. I would have to change temperatures and keep it at the right temperature for each different type of bagel. Depending on the day I would help on the line making sandwiches and teach new members how to make sandwiches. Being organized was one of my top priorities for my position. At the end of my shift I would prep a certain amount of bagels for my shift the following morning.

Assembler – Had three duties as an assembler at Toshiba. One duty would be I would receive a metal box where I would cut foam sheets and stick the foam inside the box on all sides. It helps to lower down the noise coming from the motor when it’s mounted on top. Second duty would be to use a overhead crane to pick up the motors to lay them on pallets. From there I would build a crate around the motor so it can get shipped out. Third duty would be to build the motors. I would receive the shell of the motor and paperwork. From there I would go get my parts for that motor and start my building from the directions on the paperwork. Some days I would assist the engineers on building new projects that were developed.
