Continuous Improvement (2002-2007)

Facilitated and implemented cost reduction change strategies resulting in 110 million savings throughout 10 manufacturing facilities. Developed and implemented ADDIE, Lean Office, Six Sigma, and Design for Six Sigma corporate wide strategies. Personally completed 20 Black Belt Projects, mentored 50 cross-functional lean office and green belt teams consisting of 3 to 6 people on a team (product and transactional), trained over 300 engineers in Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma. Traveled to multiple interior manufacturing plants to implement multiple cost saving strategies, Six Sigma strategies, develop Kaizen workshops, perform value-stream mapping, and lean manufacturing. Coached 10 manufacturing plant continuous improvement managers to develop and meet corporate quality and cost saving metrics of 110 million dollar savings.

Developed regression models to reduce energy usage among 30 manufacturing plants for a savings of 5 million dollars.

Developed decision trees for logistic operations resulting in the reduction of several seat trim warehouses which resulted in 7 million in savings

Supported, mentored, and coached 10 Continuous Improvement Managers (CIMs) to plan and meet 2007 corporate continuous improvement metrics of $110 million savings for electrical and seat and overhead systems.

Provided training and mentor support in Six Sigma (DMAIC), Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Lean Office and Lean Manufacturing for 20 senior managers and 300 engineers resulting in improved PPM’s.

Design Manager (1998-2002)

Engineering management responsibilities include managing 85 electrical distribution, connection systems, and electronic components and module design engineers in the United States as well as responsibility for off-shore designs from a group of 75 design engineers in the Philippine Islands.

Managed staffing, quality, and all product design engineering activities for the electrical distribution, connection systems, printed circuit boards, junction boxes, switches, and various electronic modules for the electronics division of Lear Corporation

Championed the cultural change necessary to move design/engineering to a low-cost country while managing the risk of the offshore project through utilizing electrical, electronic, and connection systems design engineers in the Philippine Islands. The project resulted in developing key competencies in a low-cost country and engendering $11 million in annual cost savings.
