PERSONAL INFORMATION
I have 28 years of teaching experience, as well as a variety of management experiences. I have experience working with various non-profit organizations, and training and experience in a variety of workplace environments. I have developed man skill related to that position which would be beneficial in any work place setting. I work will with others in a variety of situations/settings. I have great interpersonal relationship skills, am very friendly and outgoing; I also have great organizational skills, and scheduling/supervision skills. I am able to coordinate/supervise activities as well as people. I am very self-motivated, am a hard worker, and take pride in a job well done.
I have also help jobs with temp services during summers, which have given me additional work place related skills. I have been trained in data entry, worked as a receptionist, manned a switchboard, have secretarial experience, and worked with a custom home building company. I have done sales and public relations for several non- profits.
In addition, I am trained as a volunteer with the Red Cross. I do volunteer work with the Elmore County Humane Society, as I have for the past fourteen years, and am a former board member. I offer assistance in the front office, am an adoption counselor, assist with animal intake, help with the pets, handle off-site adoptions, provide socialization and exercise for the dogs. I also volunteer with the Montgomery Humane Society and am a member of their Shelter Intervention Team. In that capacity, I assist people in need be able to keep their pets and coordinate with the spay/neuter clinic.
I am a founding member and board officer with the local non-profit organization Montgomery Area Musicians Association (MAMA). I coordinate music education workshops for children, help with membership, am the secretary, and handle various public relations tasks (such as TV appearances and radio interviews), as well as organize/supervise our various events/fundraisers.
