Dear Human Resource Manager:

I spent five years as the Executive Assistant and Jack/Jenny of All Trades to the Senior Executive Vice president of Seaboard Ship Management, a division of Seaboard Corporation, before they closed our division.

During that time, I worked on the cargo ship budgets, 51mil, planned meetings /teleconferences, domestic and international travel, was the liaison with the maritime departments of The Republic of Panama, Liberia Monrovia, and Greece, The Coast Guard, Homeland Security, and The American Bureau of Shipping. I also worked with the Crewing Dept. to keep records of date of hire, promotions, and salary increases for all shipboard personnel, and was the initial contact for the ship’s captains. My next three years were spent working as the Corporate Director of Field Operations for a partnership that owned several mail order pharmacies, two diabetic education companies (one of which I built from the ground up), and a program called My Brother’s Keeper that helped African American churches provide a hardship fund for parishioners that needed help paying for their medications. I organized all trade shows, health fairs, and other events. Made all travel arrangements, purchased office supplies and equipment. I was part of the Executive Staff and decision making process. My last 22 months I have been executive assistant to 3 partners, personal assistant to 2 of the partners, property manager for several condos, 2 beach vacation rental homes, 3 owner occupied homes, 2 yearly rental homes, 2 shopping centers, and the office. In addition, I am the receptionist, supervise handyman, cleaner, and graphic designer, list and edit properties on the MLS, write the property contracts, search for new properties to purchase, get surveys, phase one environmental, wet land environmental, and much more.

I have proven problem solving skills and I thrive working in a fast-paced environment. I a State of Florida Notary Public in good standing. I have an employment gap of about 8 months between February 2013 and October 2013. The company downsized and many my programs and projects were discontinued or put on an indefinite hold. I used that time to reflect and decide where I wanted to live. I decided to come back home to Orlando. I had been gone for several years and am happy to be back.

If your firm is seeking a professional who has demonstrated sound business judgment, decisiveness, well- developed planning, analytical, and communication skills, and a consistently high level of performance in a variety of progressively responsible and challenging assignments, I am that person. Sincerely,

Linda Sullivan
