ENTREPRENEURIAL DESIGN PROJECT DESIGN ENGINEER SEPT 2016 - JUNE 2017
Developed a personal utility cart capable of efficient load transfer from ground to vehicle trunk similar to ambulance gurney under guidance of Michael Allwein, Technical Director of Mechanical systems at General Atomics. Advised by Sarah Harding, former Chassis Quality Manager at Chrysler. Utilized FEA including brick meshing, midplane abstraction, beam modeling and fastener modeling; modal analysis with shock & random vibration; failure modes and effects analysis; fatigue analysis; DVP&R; and Gantt chart. Championed design for manufacturing. Constructed over 50 ASME detailed drawings for all parts and assemblies. Showcased innovative animations depicting force transfer. Used Solidworks, Matlab, NX 9, Adobe Suite, & Machine Shop.
CAL POLY IoT CLUB PROJECT LEAD MARCH 2017 - JUNE 2017
Led a multidisciplinary team in designing a noise reduction system for consumer homes. System ran on DC power supply, communicated with micropython, controlled by a Raspberry Pi, 4 ESP8266 chips, and used dB Meter voltage output to trigger sms message or manually lower speaker volume.
MECHATRONICS PROJECT SOFTWARE ENGINEER MARCH 2017 - JUNE 2017
Designed electronic camera stabilizer using 3 brushless dc motors & independent python task communication, constructed with laser-cut acrylic & 3D-printed thermoplastics. Controlled by STM32 Nucleo. Used Solidworks, GitHub, and Spyder 3 with Doxygen documentation Utilized oscilloscope, Analog & digital power supply, function generator, and voltmeter.
PI CONTROLLER PROJECT SOFTWARE ENGINEER JAN 2017 – MARCH 2017
Created functional pi controller for DC motor using assembly code. Included extensive LCD UI allowing control of motor speed, proportional constant, integral constant, closed loop/open loop preference, and toggle of real time display updates including error. System utilized multitasking with timer-controlled interrupt service routines for control loop.
APEX SECURITY SOLUTIONS BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR FALL 2016
Constructed a start-up tech company. Designed security product which used combination of bluetooth and GPS to track bicycles, determined consumer base (b-to-b), estimated potential revenue from rentals & geodata, and developed contract agreements with potential customers. Used Solidworks, Makerbot, MS office.
