Maintained the benefit and enrolment system for a pharmaceutical company (PBM).

Analyzed and fixed problems with loading historical client data in separate databases of two merged companies. Participated in design sessions with business analysts to create new business requirements and translate them into detail programming documentation for offshore developers using SDLC methodologies. Analyzed problems with missing claims and reloading them to vendors of a CDH (Consumer Driven Health) system. Worked on production support of the retail network management system (RNM). Publisher’s Clearing House Port Washington, NY 11/04 to 08/05

Converted a marketing system from SAS to COBOL/DB2. This improved the performance and execution of the system from 24 hours to 6 hours running time. It also allowed the user more flexibility accessing customer data for marketing purposes and to increase the company’s revenue by at least one million dollars a year.

Medco Health Montvale, NJ 1/04 to 10/04

Developed a drug alert system to warn and avoid problems with prescriptions like early refill, adverse reaction to simultaneous prescriptions that may be contra indicated. The system uses COBOL II, DB2, CICS.

Citibank NY, NY 4/02 to 12/03

Incorporated an old system into the main bank’s system so that the old one could be decommissioned saving millions of dollars each year in maintaining both systems. Worked with CSF customer statement formatter and Systematics banking package.

The system is an online overdraft back office system to accommodate accounts with high balance limits. Used COBOL II/CICS, VSAM, ADABAS/NATURAL.

Smith Barney NY, NY 12/00 to 12/01

SYSTEM AND PROGRAMMER ANALYST stock options department.

Upgraded the domestic stock options system to help the company increase sales of managing employees’ stock options of international companies that trade their stock in foreign and domestic stock exchanges. Responsibilities included creation of the system’s infrastructure to maintain the country and multi currency tables, new international sub-menus and printing welcome letters for customers to give them access to their accounts via the internet.

Used COBOL II/CICS, VSAM, SAS, DB2 stored procedures, MQ series and NDM. Duties also included gathering information from the user and analyzing the system to design the new functionalities required to allow foreign companies to offer their employees stock options.

Morgan Stanley NY,NY 8/99 to 2/00

PROGRAMMER/ANALYST fixed income securities systems (TAPS).

Maintained the back office mortgage backed security application written in online/batch ADABAS/NATURAL. Maintained programs to send and receive data from the clearinghouse DTC. Wrote programs to transfer data between a mainframe and Unix machines using MQ Series.

Worked on enhancements of the human resources payroll system. Wrote programs to calculate company and individual employees' contributions to a 401K-pension plan. The system was written in ADABAS/NATURAL. Responsible for enhancements of the securities system.
