Parallel Algorithm For Drug-Drug Interaction

Language: C++, Python

Work with two other students to test how fast the parallel algorithm than the original algorithm in dealing with drug-drug interaction. Collect data which relates to DDI from MEDLINE database and compare different sample of data to find if there is a interaction between different drugs.

Use parallel method in CUP level(multiple threads) to improve efficiency and analysis the reason and limitation. Graph Data Analysis

Working with another team member to process and analysis data collected from Stanford Large Network Dataset Collection. Processing data as different kinds of graph(For example, ER-Graph), then calculate the connected components, node centrality, triads and clustering coefficient, node degree, etc.

Led team of three students to design a P2P messaging tool with which two people can send instant message to each other Two people who use this tool set the same password so the tool can correctly encrypt and decrypt message. Using Advanced Encryption Standard(AES) algorithm to encrypt and decrypt message and multiple threads to deal with send and receive message.

Working personally to process data in a visualized way at Processing tool. Show data in different kinds of graph(bar chart, scatterplot, etc) and add interaction to graph, with mouse click or moving the graph can show the exact number from data and change color and get highlight.
