Patent Trial and Appeal Board End to End (PTAB E2E) is a new system designed for the Patent Trial and Appeal Board for the purpose of electronically filing documents in connection with the Inter Partes Disputes established under the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act (AIA). PTAB application is built to replace the existing PRPS legacy systems by migrating documents and metadata from these legacy systems. PTAB handles inter partes dispute types - Inter Partes Review (IPR), Transitional Program for Covered Business Method Patents (CBM) and Post Grant Review (PGR), established under AIA. With PTAB, parties have the ability to submit a petition to request an inter partes dispute to be instituted, to participate as a patent owner or respondent in an inter partes dispute, and to perform certain actions during an inter partes dispute.
