EXPERIENCE

Jul 11 - till Feb 16 Vice Chairman New Delhi

Responsible for revenue generation, P&L, business expansion, project management, operations, strategy planning, budgeting, acquiring sanctions/approvals and team management of 11 verticals of the group with assets worth INR 10,000 Cr and turnover worth 1600 Cr.

Sanctions/Approvals

Liaison with top officials, high level bureaucrats in various ministries for various sanction issues; received requisite clearances for projects ranging from INR 100 Cr to INR 10,000 Cr:

oAcquired licenses/approvals for manufacturing of green technology explosives, road construction product with zero toxic emissions, soil stabilizer and many more products.

oSecured accreditations and authorizations from Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Home Affairs, Environment & Forests, Defense, Education Department and External Affairs for progressing the business of Group.

Strategic Initiatives

Participating in formulating long/short term strategy plans including defining road maps and blue prints in sync with organizational goals and objectives.

Restructured and converted various products/LOBs into profitable business streams:-

oAcquired inclusion of soil stabilizer product in the IRC-37 as an approved road construction material for Pan India construction/infrastructure projects

oSecured introduction of food products manufactured by the company with the Navy and Army.

oSecured license for the manufacture and sale of Silent Explosive (Green Break Technology) through personal interaction with various ministries and Explosive Departments.

Business Expansion

Set up primary health care units in tier 2 cities spread across 5 Eastern states with a budget of INR 400 Cr. Plans to set up 100 Health & Eye Care Centres and 6 Tertiary Care hospitals.

Set up a green field manufacturing unit in Rajasthan.

Cost approvals from the Govt of Georgia for setting up a manufacturing unit.

Operations

Involved in estimation, forecast and compliance of annual budgets along with regular reviews.

Handling day-to-day operational activities for all company verticals; finance, audit, administration, recruitment and payroll.

Liaising with senior management and providing advice and guidance on strategy plans to the Chairman and Board of Directors.

Heading the security business of the Group – Black Cats and Expanded the vertical to include Investigations business.

Projects

Designed projects to enhance the business of the Group in different spheres and prepared the financial models before launching any new product in the market.

Led a green technology project for manufacturing of Silent Rock Rupturing cartridges and soil stabilizer with investment value of INR 250 Cr.

Spearhead the establishment of various educational schools and health care centers across locations in India.

Team Management

Manage a team of 10,000 workforce across all divisions; providing mentoring and coaching for building skills, competencies and capabilities.

Introduced reward policy, introduced motivating sessions for employees and handled grievances sessions in open discussion forums to resolve work related issues.

Corporate Awards. Led the Company to win the Prestigious Award of “Asia’s Most Promising Business Group” held at Dubai by WCRC and KPMG.

Strategized war plans through operational research to protect over 1400 kms of Indian Border from Chinese Army which are being used at National Level Strategic Planning.

Director General Recruitment responsible for recruitment of 80,000 soldiers and 2,500 officers pan India.

Station Commander of various army cantonments and handled budget of INR 500 Cr at any given point to manage functionality of schools and accommodation of defense fraternity.
