ENERGY ENGINEER

Because of my passion for the industry, I have delivered over 25 years of results while providing high quality, multi-faceted client centered engineering, and manufacturing with multi-million dollar budgets with an installed base over 10,000MW in all continents. Optimizing plant operations, and troubleshoot plant inefficiencies has been the core of my project effort. Order management leader for all estimating, commercial, and engineering configuration functions during the bid phase of proposals for the Global Heavy Duty Gas Turbine Capital Parts business while developing new customer sales base

Senior Process System Engineer for the 1600 MW Oak Grove Steam Station responsible for multiple support system design parameters included but not limited to: pipe sizing/heat exchanger/pumps, and piping and instrument diagram development, supporting calculations, equipment specifications, technical problem solving, equipment database management, equipment set-points for safe operations, performance validations of multiple multimillion dollar support systems including control valves

Senior Process System Engineer support for Eastman Chemical Company Utilities Station which included piping and instrument diagram consultation and reviews, (HAZOPS)

Equipment Engineer for GE steam turbines, nuclear process engineering development

CINERGY / DUKE ENERGY 2000 – 2006

Staff Engineer/Project Manager, EPC and Project Engineering

Implemented engineering, procurement and installation of two large steam turbine upgrades to deliver a 26% return on investment, contracted value of $10 million each, 100MW

Instituted a business case for a longstanding business impediment for boiler pumps, with project, contracted value of $700k, debottlenecked unit operations by 20%

Coordinated the procurement, engineering, construction and commissioning of three 170MW turbine generator sets, contracted value of $160million in a complex refinery and chemical plant

Supervised the engineering studies in refinery, developed procurement methods and installation of three complex water treatment pumping facilities with RO and UF membranes with a capacity of 5,400 gallons per minute of boiler feedwater, contracted value of $16million

Developed a cost competitive solution for a large industrial account to include, manufacturing and the installation of one complex extraction steam turbine generator set; contracted value of $45million, HAZOP analysis senior engineer

Participated in the development of P&ID's, package specifications, construction specifications, project schedules, project budgets, project staffing planning, and construction planning with EPC teams, reliability modeling

Specified, supervised and/or commissioned the following: $2mil steam turbine rebuild, $700k boiler tube replacement, 5,000hp gas compressor and pump installations, 1.5mil gallon water clarifier rebuild, large industrial boiler installation, acid boiler burner revamp and 4 expansion joint installations, supervised up to 20 licensed steam engineers, reliability program management
