Macy's plans to launch an e-commerce site in China in 2017.During the first phase of the project, the goal is to offer around 10k products that will be fulfilled by United States - Goodyear Warehouse.

In 2015 Macy's started business in China through TMALL, China's largest online market place, owned by Alibaba. Due to the positive results achieved with TMALL, Macy's wants to expand its business in China and create their own e-commerce site. Today, we do not provide real-time inventory availability for all channels Today, sites cache availability throughout the day via a batch process known as Priority Item Availability (Priority IA) resulting in a stale inventory status due to a 15 minute delay in batch processing.Smart Push Item Availability is the result of an evolution of thinking based on lessons learned and forward-looking vision of where we need to be to become an Omni channel company. We will provide a more timely and relevant Omni channel Item Availability answer to meet the current market landscape, remain competitive and make the shopping experience more seamless and integrated across all of our selling channels. By enabling a “push” model for Item Availability, MST will deliver availability information to the Service Delivery Platform (SDP) which will then be highly available and scalable to the various consuming applications. Existing PFL provides near real time availability to the sites based on the requests sent from the sites through web services and scheduled batch process. To implement the calculation of Defined Benefits - An employer-sponsored retirement plan where employee benefits are sorted out based on a formula using factors such as salary history and duration of employment. Investment risk and portfolio management are entirely under the control of the company. There are also restrictions on when and how you can withdraw these funds without penalties.

There are2 basic plans an employee is eligible for:

Qualified Plan (Calculated from Basic Compensation) and

Non – Qualified plan (Calculated from Deferred Compensation).

An in-house tool named TotalBenefits Administration is used to administer the Defined Benefits Pension Plan to the employees of the respective clients. Along with a Web Based application – Your Benefit Resources to assist the benefits-savvy employees and The Hewitt Personal Finance Center gives employees access to additional planning tools for retirement planning.

Hewitt associates provide offshore Implementation and maintenance support for Defined benefits System. The main work of offshore team is to develop new interfaces and maintain existing interfaces and processes.

Project details : The American Jobs Creation Act of 2004 was signed into law on October 22, 2004. The act contains regulations that affect Nonqualified (NQ) retirement plans.409a Implementation deals with adding another plan to the automated Pension administration system i.e., the Total Benefits Administration. Participants in the nonqualified pension plans can now pre-elect another one-time Benefit – 409a Benefit Plan along with the qualified plan. Process includes sending a Personalized Communication Statement to the participant to elect a Benefit during his retirement process or a beneficiary can elect the plan in case of the employee’s death. Section 409A provides rules for, and imposes limits on, non-qualified plans, especially with respect to plan participation and benefit distribution. The regulations specify that payments to key employees will be delayed.

The expected process will be as follows: The client will determine a 'Key EE Identification Date' at which they will evaluate annually which of their employees is a key employee. The calculation of the benefits
