My Personal Mission Statement

Striving for perfection, my goal in life is to be the best person I can. To be an inspiring character and contributor in the history of my family. Devoted to, and bringing pure joy to my children and loyalty to my love ones, Never take time for granted and enjoy every moment. To bring positivity to the world by living a life of honor and compassion, while remaining humble and appreciative for what I have in life

Maintaining my high level of standards and excellence has set me above my peers in some instances; yet, I remain humble and grounded. I always feel there is room for improvement and that whatever I achieve, will never be good enough

Accomplishments-Awards-Contributions-Milestones:

Actions Speak Louder Then Words

Always building up, Overcoming Challenges and trying to perfect everything I set out to do.

Self-Employed- Help ran family start up appraisal business and have been in business for over ten years. I successfully rehabbed two residential properties. I have conceived and built from the ground up, a Beagle and German Shorthaired Pointer breeding/training program. We have increased our sales and revenues each year, are currently implementing our next stage of expansion with the end goal of having our bloodlines nationally shown and promoting a world class organization

Cartoys- Collaborating with my store manager, we successfully implemented a new sales strategy developing, mentoring and inspiring the sales team to sell more phones. We reached our goal of going from last in the Houston region to number one, boasted moral and increased the stores productivity.

Aeriel/Voicestream/T-Mobile: Proving my value, I started off hitting hard and I earned a seat at the company wide monthly achievers lunch my first month. Continuously, month, after month, I was a top-producer and contributor to my team and company. I lead my team in sales, multiple “big dawg’s” of the months awards, won several sales contest; and as a result, I earned a leadership role among my peers, additional task and responsibilities.

Radio Shack. I surpassed all expectations. I started off at my neighborhood location then was moved to a more challenging location. Next, a mall store for the Christmas season where I mastered my pitch and demonstrated my driven ability to achieve results. I was rewarded for my motivation and dedication with a higher volume (top 10) store. But that was not good enough for me. Maximizing sales opportunities by providing quality service, up selling, offering credit, and always “giving away” a free cell phone to everyone, I increased our production; helping my new store achieve a top 5 ranking, even selling more phones then mall stores. With my district manager blessing, I earned the third key, opening & closing responsibilities, supervising and training roles. Individually, I was recognized for my performance on a number of times, earning the “Ace” top sales maker of the month award multiple times.

Dominos pizza. I started at the lowest performing store. In time, I “earned and proved” my way to the highest producing store. I was able to maintain my composure during extremely stressful situations and consistently make quality pizzas during high volume “rushes”. Lead the store in “dollars per order”, by always offering “the family special”. Telling momma she can have leftovers tomorrow always closed the deal! I even baby sat my boss’s kid a couple times. Now if that isn’t earning your boss’s trust, I don’t know what is.

No One Cares or Remembers Who Came In Second

Naugatuck Basketball Association. In 3 Seasons I went from a scrub to one of the solid players in the league. Practicing EVERY day, I ended up earning Most Improved Player once and the all-star team twice. In my first season we went undefeated and lost the final championship game, If only I was able to contribute more, maybe we would have won that last game. In my final season, I lead my team in rebounds, assist and free throw percentage. When you have teammates you can trust, you don’t have to score every point to win.

YMCA Little Pal Basketball. 3 seasons-As a team we had two undefeated/championship seasons in a row, the first ever to do so. I earned most improved player and the all-star team in my final year.

To generate leads, I acquired new clients by going to every office building & strip center I saw, cold calling yellow page phone numbers, and networking. Designed my own pitch-book, flyers and marketing material. Consulted and Interacted with prospective clients to identify their needs, gave sales presentations/demonstrations, wrote proposals and facilitated delivery of product. Building customer loyalty and trust, I surpassed their expectations and followed up with superior customer relations.

Side note: This was the role that strengthen my sales knowledge and showed me a side of sales I would not get in retail. It was a great challenge that boasted my confidence and solidified my sales foundation which propelled me into my next role where I earned a prestigious award my first month.

Retail: Radio Shack: “Relationship Developer-Salesmaker” 04/1997 to 05/1999

I started at one of the worse (production wise-great manager) stores in the district (it was five minuets away), took training seriously, gave it my best and eventually moved to a busy mall store for Christmas season. Did well and was rewarded with a consistent/steady, top 10 store. Provided superior service, increased our productivity and store attained a top 5 ranking. Some final responsibilities include opening/closing/third key duties, supervising and training sales team, scheduling, and ordering merchandise.

Restaurant: McDonalds: “Cook” 03/1997 to 06/1997

They have a great training program. I made hamburgers. It was fun, I “Discovered” a pretty tasty triple cheeseburger with chocolate-chip cookies and bacon…I even unloaded “the truck” a couple times a week, but after a while, it got boring, quick.

Restaurant: Dominos pizza: “Insider/Pizza Maker” 09/1995 to 04/1997

I made the best pizza you ever had from dominos. I Started off at franchisee’s #4 store, proved my capabilities and ended up at his number one producing store. While the #4 store may get 50 pizzas an hour once a month on a busy night, this store always hit 100 pies per hour on busy nights, sometimes making over 350 pies per a four hour shift. My boss gave me as many hours I wanted and my role expanded to order taking and closing duties. Now, I don't know if he was desperate, but I even baby sat his kid a couple times.

Restaurant: IHOP: “Food Service/Server & Dishwasher” 03/1995 to 09/1995

Communication is key. Being a server required me to interact with and manage a wide variety of personalities, some demanding, others that are particular but cant articulate how they want their food prepared which requires you to stay focused and pay attention to small details. Sometimes, these situations require diplomacy, which require you the ability to think quickly, solve problems, and resolve customer complains in an effective manor. You must work efficiently and quickly, handle multiple tasks, have the ability to switch priorities, and work though high stress-high pressure situations while maintaining control and order. All while standing for hours at a time, constantly moving. I also worked for a few months at a Dennys around the same time where I shared the same duties and I also assisted the cook sometimes.

Restaurant: Pizza Hut: “Production/Pizza maker” 09/1994 to 03/1995

One of my first jobs was somewhere I always wanted to work at growing up as a kid. How neat is that? I made pizza at Pizza hut! I learned quickly, had a great attitude, was a great teammate, made some good friends and did whatever I can to make myself a valuable teammate.

“All you touch and all you see, Is all your life will ever be”

For over 10 years I worked with my family doing appraisals. Whenever I saw a run down property, I would want to fix it up and resell it. I ended up rehabbing two properties on my own where I grew and I learned a lot about myself. For the first time in my life, I found work I can do that I truly enjoyed and was passionate about. The responsibility and the challenge drove me everyday to be on my A-Game 24/7. Working on my own was great and it gave me the flexibility of working whenever I want and being with my children. In an idea day, I arrive at my property, put in a good day of work and I am home by the time my kids finish school. At times, I would stay at my property for days at a time, working from the time I wake up, until the time I go to sleep, I found I got more work done and was more productive when I would stay. As much as I enjoy the role, the unstable-environment I was providing for our children takes away the joy from it. Being able to watch my kids grow and provide for them is important to me. I sacrificed a lot to enjoy every moment I can with them. Now that they are in school, I must sacrifice them, so I can give them what they deserve. I have a lot of catching up to do.

Are there similar roles or positions out there, I can be passionate about? Somewhere I can do all the work for someone else, without my children missing out on life?
