Financial Analyst

Analyze, evaluate, monitor and prepare reports (annually and quarterly) of the financial situation and solvency of Insurers, Reinsurers and Health Maintenance Organizations.

Analyze, evaluate and prepare reports of admissions applications of Foreign Insurers, Domestic Insurers, Health Maintenance Organizations, Reinsurers, Surplus Line Insurers, Automobile Club and Service Contract Providers.

Review and analyze audited financial reports to identify solvency and consistency with the Annual Statements.

Prepare reports corresponding to the analysis, evaluations and examination reports.

Analyze financial statements of single state and multi-state insurers and prepare reports of their findings and any compliance issue.

The mission of the National Association of Insurance Commissioner (NAIC) Accreditation Program is to establish and maintain standards to promote sound insurance company financial solvency regulation. The Accreditation Program provides a process whereby solvency regulation of multi-state insurance companies can be enhanced and adequately monitored with emphasis on: adequate solvency laws and regulations, effective and efficient financial analysis and examination process, appropriate organizational and personnel practices and effective and efficient processes regarding the review of organization, licensing, and change of control of domestic insurers.

Since 2011, I’ve been part of this Office Accreditation Team as a Team Leader where we had to create laws for compliance, pass through interviews related to the financial situation of the insurance companies, between other things. In addition, provide support to the Financial Analysis Team in their interviews with the NAIC Accreditation Review Team.
