RELEVANT PROJECTS
Building a Shell Eco-Marathon Car- Senior Project August 2016- May 2017
Participated as a member of a 4-man Senior Design team working on constructing a two-occupant vehicle that meets the Shell Eco-Marathon width requirements, with interchangeable power source capability
Contributed in designing and analyzing several components of the vehicle using CAD software
Determined the correct material for the frame, engine selection to meet our vehicle specifications, fuel cell selection, and the selection of other components such as the electric motor, drivetrain and brake system.
Utilized project management skills to create a budget, Gantt Chart, Risk Matrix and a Work Breakdown Structure.
Design of a Gate Valve- Valve Design Project December 2016
Designed a 3 1/8” gate valve with a working pressure of 3000 psi and a test pressure of 6000 psi using API 6A standards.
Valve was designed with a Fig to Fig end connection, material class EE, and a P-U temperature class.
Design of a Drive Shaft- Computer-Aided Design Project April 2016
Designed a drive shaft using a universal joint and a weld yoke to withstand forces of a heavy-duty truck.
Used CAD software (ANSYS & Creo) to design and analyze the drive shaft by determining the angular motion and maximum stress experienced, and then compared those theoretical answers to analytical calculations and optimized the drive shaft to improve overall performance.
