Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and tasks as per maintenance plan.

DEVELOPED SKILLS

CNC Machining – I have an understanding of how to write CNC programs and operate a CNC milling and Turning machines, hence I’m working on the multi spindles machines i.e. GROBE G-Module 5 axis(Siemens Controls) and Hella and Hyundai 4 axis machines (Fanuc Controls).

Hydraulics and Pneumatics – I was trained in developing and testing of basic hydraulic / pneumatic circuits and I assisted in the maintenance of hydraulic systems.

Machine Tool Setting – I worked in an engine block production machining line and I do tool monitoring, setup and adjustments. Building a CNC Turret Machine with different tooling for a specific job.

Statistical Process Control – as a production machine setter I use SPC charts to monitor the quality of machined products and adjust my settings accordingly.

Maintenance - it is my responsibility as a setter to assist fitters when they conduct maintenance activities on my machine, as much as to gain more experience on my trade as Fitter and Turner.

Plant Monitoring – During my in-plant training I was responsible for monitoring and reporting on the condition of VWSA’s laser generator cooling system.
