In addition, I provided executive management oversight for the property management division and was responsible for placement of the company's property and casualty insurance.
Asset Management
In1990, I was promoted to the home office in Atlanta, GA where I served as corporate asset manager over the assets of several public pension funds who had invested in such funds as the Select Properties Fund and Hawaiian Properties Fund. From 1993 to 1996, I was responsible for Equitable Life's national portfolio of retail assets that consisted of 42 regional malls and open air centers in 18 states. When promoted to Senior Vice President in 1996, I assumed responsibility for a retail portfolio of 7.3 million square feet and by 1998 I was responsible for a portfolio consisting of 18 assets totaling 14 million square feet with an estimated market value of $1.3 billion. I joined the Dallas, TX regional office of Equitable Real Estate as Director of Asset Management with a mixed portfolio including retail, office buildings, industrial properties and hotels.

I was hired as the first property manager at One Lincoln Center in Dallas, Tx and was subsequently promoted to Vice President directing the on-site property management of six Class A office buildings in Dallas and Ft Worth, TX. Corporate Audit Staff
I joined the regional audit staff for the JC Penney Company in the Dallas office. My responsibilites included on-site retail store reviews in Texas and those states contiguous to Texas. In less than a year, I was promoted to the corporate audit staff for real estate and construction where I developed new policies and procedures and was promoted to Supervising Senior Auditor where I implemented a new program to review all facets of real estate and construction in the United States and Puerto Rico.
