Enhance their proprietary HRCheck system, a HR and Time Management online system (VB.Net and SQL). Tasks included writing a new "On-Boarding" module called, a template-based set of screens to help companies bring on new hires.
I wrote many Excel & CSV extract file applications and utilities to assist End Users (one of which brought the time for their recurring task from almost a day a month to 15 minutes) as well as writing User Training Documentation & User Manuals; also conducted several training sessions (Application & Excel Basics).
Second-line support for the main application as well as writing new reports (or amending existing ones) as requested using Crystal Reports and SQL.

Programmer Analyst
I worked on various databases (Access and SQL) and programs on an ad-hoc basis. Updated, expanded and maintain the Medical Center’s many Access databases. Developed and maintained the intranet site using MS Sharepoint. Crafted web-based programs and forms to turn previously paper-based forms into electronic ones, with full reporting capabilities, using SQL Server and Visual Basic .NET, with reporting in Crystal Reports.
I crafted a new HR Applicant Tracking System (HRATS) to fully automate the hiring process, using Visual Basic and SQL. For this project, I was awarded Employee of the Month in Feb 2011. I developed the online Education & Training application, using Crystal Reports.
I developed the SQL Server databases and infrastructure, tying in with Medisolv's front-end/dashboard interfaces, for capture, display and reporting of the ARRA "Meaningful Use" requirements; HMC thus first attested in 2011.
I also took laborious, manual process in the Billing Department, and implemented efficient Excel Spreadsheet solutions that run in a couple of minutes; these tasks used to take the staff between 1 to 5 days a month to perform.

Senior Analyst
This role involved writing code specifications, coding (in RPG on AS/400) and testing the associated programs for Brooks Brothers’ Inventory system. Liaison with the users assured the correct determination of the solutions to be employed. Followed the full project life-cycle.
As part of the new Allocation system for Brooks Brothers, I was called upon to help the Business ensure the data in the new system matched that in the original. I devised a utility application in MS Access (using Oracle via ODBC).

Business Systems Analyst
Enterprise Performance Management (web-based tool for store managers, district managers, executives to evaluate key indicators of the Business) – this project used Microsoft SQL Server with Enterprise Manager (DTS, SQL) and Analysis Services (MDX). This role involved designing and maintaining data flows and applications for the server-side portion of the project as well as liaising with the Business Users to obtain Business requirements in order to prepare Requirement Documentation for them, involving high and lower level Design.
The writing and monitoring User Acceptance Test Plans, and following a project life-cycle from Requirements gathering/analysis to Implementation & support.

Developed, tested and implemented a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) suite of programs, written using COBOL, FTP, DL/1 and JCL, with some Unix.
Activity included Business continuity and support on a 24/7 basis and following the life-cycle from Requirements to Implementation & support.
Led middle management presentations for System application & training using multi-media presentations. Demonstrated operational procedures and functionality to senior and middle management; provided comprehensive support training for the Help Desk personnel. I moved to the US in Nov 1996 from England; I am now a United States Citizen (Aug 2013).
I have developed several Visual Basic applications outside of the workplace, including one called WordFind, which is a utility to assist in solving word puzzles of many kinds.
I have developed several websites for churches and businesses. I have also performed a/v aspects in churches regularly, as well as frequent conferences, controlling all a/v aspects (computers, projectors, sound-desk, etc) at such. I have conducted training sessions for work-related topics.
I perform in several local Community Theater groups in my spare time, which is one of the reasons I like to present training sessions in a work environment.
