PRESIDENT, JB GLOBAL ENERGY SERVICES LLC 3/17 - PRESENT Providing consulting services to numerous investors and energy market companies. Emphasis on major project development and delivery, nuclear energy related issues and resource planning and utility operations. Also working with private equity companies evaluating investment opportunities in energy sector companies. SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC 5/13 - 3/17 Responsible for the product development and delivery of the innovative AP1000 passive plant technology. This includes global business development responsibilities and delivery of eight AP1000’s simultaneously in China and the United States. Successful in addressing several legacy issues that had contributed to previous project delays these included completion of engineering and resolution of engineered equipment design/ manufacturing problems. The combined value of the contracts for these projects was in excess of $20B USD.
PRESIDENT AND EXECUTIVE VP, ROLLS ROYCE PLC 2/12 - 6/13 Developed and successfully grew the inaugural Nuclear Services business for Rolls Royce. Responsibilities included engineering, plant services, instrumentation & controls and design/build services. These businesses were located in the United Kingdom, France, United States and Canada with annual revenue in excess of $250M USD. Role also included executive responsibility for the nuclear engineering function within Rolls Royce and held a seat on the Rolls Royce enterprise Engineering Board. PRESIDENT, JB GLOBAL ENERGY SERVICES 3/11 - 2/12 Founder and President of energy consulting firm specializing in nuclear power generation issues with an emphasis on new build development programs. Developed and grew this inaugural business into a competitive global engineering and technical services brand; including performing licensing support work for North America new build projects and establishing CH2M HILL’s international program management offering. In 2008, led the successful bid to serve as the Managing Agent for the United Arab Emirates’ new civil nuclear power program. Subsequently moved to AbuDhabi to serve as the initial Program Manager.
VICE PRESIDENT, VARIOUS ROLES, EXELON NUCLEAR 04/98 - 03/07 Served in a number of executive roles for Exelon Nuclear (including the predecessor company Commonwealth Edison of Chicago). These roles included Site VIce President at a two unit nuclear reactor site, Vice President of Licensing and Regulatory affairs, and Vice President of Acquisitions.
As a member of the Exelon executive team, contributed to driving operational performance of the fleet (17 reactors at 10 sites) to industry leading performance. The management model developed for managing these assets has become an industry standard for other fleet operators.
