PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Construction Project Manager – Polivka International - August 2016 to July 2017

Prime contractor for CSX Intermodal Rail Terminal, McKees Rocks, PA; $26M contract price; total investment more than $60M.

Project highlights included: safety, permitting, erosion and sediment controls, utility coordination, underground utilities ACT 2 Site remediation, site and building demolition, waste streams and recycling, earthwork, paving, fencing and guide rails, lighting, ground-up building construction, security and telecom, roadway reconstruction, signage, and track work.

Responsibilities include budgeting, quantity take-offs, scheduling, procurement, RFIs, submittals, contract negotiation, utility and stakeholder coordination, governmental affairs, emergency repairs, hazardous material remediation, site observation, project updates, change order requests, and presentation of pay applications.

Senior Inspector / Inspection Coordinator – ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions - July 2014 to June 2016

Scheduled man-power and inspection duties of in-house and outside Quality Assurance Inspectors for three (3) new fertilizer plants in the US, totaling $7.5 Billion.

Responsibilities included: expediting visits; interim, final, and shipping inspections throughout North America; vendor workflows for reimbursement; claims management; vendor pre-qualification support; facility audits; and maintenance of qualified vendor list.

Assistant Site Manager / Logistics Manager - Fives Stein, Inc. - July 2012 to February 2014

$1.2B + Allegheny Ludlum Hot Rolling and Processing Facility Project. Project cargo consisted of more than 6,200 packages, in excess of 7,700 tons, shipped door to door, for two Digital Walking Beam Furnaces.

Responsibilities included: management of international and domestic shipments of equipment and consumables; inspection of materials at supplier facilities before shipping; open package inspections of cargo at multiple warehouse facilities; non-conformance reports (NCRs); insurance claims; scheduling; internal weekly reports; metrics; shipping, receiving, and site condition updates; progress meetings; access, equipment, and manpower coordination; purchasing; punch lists; and close-out.

Participated in instrumentation, dry-out, cold, and hot commissioning follow-up, support, and supply.

Documented spare part inventory, condition, and location for turn-over to owner.

Construction Project Manager - Pennsylvania Project Management, Inc. - June 2011 to June 2012

Owner’s Representative for LEED certified institutional construction projects. Projects included renovation, additions, and ground-up construction totaling $47M.

Responsibilities included: estimates; value engineering; schedule of values, project schedules, subcontract lists, bidding; security compliances; submittals, requests for information (RFIs), change order requests (CORs), owner’s authorization for additional work; safety; inspection and testing reports; pre-construction and weekly progress meetings; utility coordination; contractor employee certified payrolls and contractor application for payments; inspections, punch-lists and close-out documents.
