OBJECTIVE: Seeking an Assistant/Administrative position which will utilize my organizational and interpersonal skills as well as managerial abilities. I do all the transcription, scheduling of outpatient surgeries, cleaning and steriliz- ing instruments using an autoclave along with ordering and maintaining of clinical supplies and the upkeep of all clinical equipment. I develop x-rays taken by physician, I acquire vital signs and health histories, updating medical information in records, calling in prescriptions, assisting in minor office procedures (i.e.; nail avulsions, cast applications and wart removals) as well as blood glucose testing when needed and other various tasks. 11/07 – 9/08: Lattimore Primary Care; Rochester, New York Medical Assistant working in an extremely fast paced, high volume internal medicine office. There is great responsibility for updating patient information, calling in/monitoring pre- scriptions, updating medications in charts, scheduling appointments and diagnostic tests, pre- paring patients for exams along with charting vital signs, performing EKG’s, pulmonary func- tion tests, glucose testing/monitoring as well as diabetic teaching of glucometer use. As- sistance is also given for minor office procedures such as removal of skin tags/warts and as- sisting/setting up for PAP/pelvic exams.
