Career Objective

I want to pursue a career which will give me an opportunity to share my work experience in the area of application welding technology, welding inspection and development of welding procedure and its implementation as and when require. It is important for me to have a challenging career which will provide me satisfaction and as well as bring techno commercial benefit to the employer.

Academic qualifications

1) B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Maths from Ranchi University (1971).

2) Mechanical Diploma from Jamshedpur Technical Institute. (Equivalent to AMIE

Part A).

3) Passed Foremanship and Supervision course from T.M.D.C. (TATA STEEL).

4) Attended welding metallurgy course in IIT, Kharagpur

Job Experience

1) Ex QC & QA advisor in L & T Construction India. (Looking after Structural fabrication of HSM)

2) Asst. Foreman Mechanical (Inspection and maintenance) under Chief Mechanical Engineer TATA STEEL, (1986 to 1988). India

3) Foreman (maintenance and operation) Welding Shop more than 18 yrs. in TATA STEEL. India. (vast experience of Ferrous and Non ferrous metal welding) having vast knowledge on SMAW, MIG/MAG, TIG, SAW and THERMAL SPRAY welding Process.

4) Regular faculty for safety training related to safe working proceedure in Mechanical, welding and gas cutting safety, working at height and material handling services. Delivering lecture in steel industries like Bokaro, Durgapur and Burnpur on their request.

5) Coordinator and faculty for selected welders in TATA STEEL conducted by SNTI on modern submerged welding process.

Achievements

1) 1999 to 2002 completed 12 Value Engineering Project with remarkable saving to the company and received the prestigious SHABASHI award from Tata Steel Management in 2002.

2) In 2009, I (Ex-employee) had been nominated as faculty and course coordinator and trainer on modern welding technique. (Theory and Practical training) conducted at Welding Shop and Employees Training Centre. (TATA STEEL) for their selected welders.

3) Latest achievement : In 2012 Erection of titanium steel plate tank in-situ welding at TATA Steel Coke plant (new project) in a polluted environment consist of toxic gases like ammonia, Benzene and methane vapours which are very much harmful for sensitive Titanium metal welding, but as an L & T technical advisor I rendered my service and completed the job successfully within stipulated period. Weld quality inspected by RT engineer.

4) Associate with L& T (TATA STEEL KPO project, HSM Dept, Kalinganagar) as QA,QC advisor till June’13.
