TITLE: Preheating combustion air in a diesel engine using heat from Exhaust Gases (2012)

(Project undertaken in partial fulfillment of B. Tech)

Abstract: The project focuses at integration of a shell and finned concentric tube heat exchanger with an IC engine set up aiming at extraction of heat from the exhaust gas so as to increase the air flow rate and the volumetric efficiency of a diesel engine which results in better BSFC of the engine at a given load along with increasing the fuel efficiency.
