KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Led and grew Aker Solutions Metals office from 78 to 265 project managers, engineers and support staff in a 3 year period. Increased revenue from $26M to $48M and EBITA from 9% to +/- 18%.

Led proposal, project and engineering management efforts of a $2.4B copper mining project in Peru. Oversaw construction management efforts for the $75M Spa and Pool Deck project for The Venetian in Las Vegas, the $ 18M LVPD 911 Facility and the $14M Beam Music Center for UNLV.

Led the home office estimation and field team for the $1B+ Liquefied Natural Gas project in Venezuela overseeing the contract negotiations, field estimating, management of change orders and back charge efforts resulting in the project coming under budget by $2M.

Recognized by the American Red Cross with a National Award and seat on the Board of Directors for establishing a 24x7 safety awareness office culture which was associated with saving a life.

GLOBAL DIRECTOR – PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE & SYSTEMS (1.5 years)

Led the Project Management Office (PMO) for North, Central & South America and matrix management of $125M - $150M in EPC projects with 10 Project Managers. Scope of work included design engineering, installation and service of equipment and processes for the mining and mineral industry.

Asked to create a new PMO office including the development of standard procedures and processes for proposals, project management, risk mitigation, audits and margin management.

Significantly reduced margin erosion by implementing a gating process for bids, risk register and all work processes throughout the life cycle for all projects.

Increased awareness and use of change management processes to improve margins by 1% - 3% and maintain scope and service levels.

GLOBAL DIRECTOR – PLANT SYSTEMS, SALES & PROJECT CONTROLS (2.5 years)

Managed and coordinated 18 team members in the business development, proposal and project controls departments for the mineral processing plant systems group.

Led a staff of 265 employees, matched project management expertise to client needs and promoted business development efforts to ensure a pipeline of new projects. On a yearly basis, met with the 12 Global Metals Offices to develop and update the global 3 - 5 year business growth strategy.

Entrusted by Senior Management to open a new office in Tucson with the responsibility of overseeing business development, project controls and finance. Grew the business from 17 to 78 engineers and support staff.

As VP, increased labor revenue from $26M to $48M and an EBITA of 9% to an average of $18%.

Chaired a joint engineering and construction safety committee creating a culture of 24x7 safety awareness, which was nationally recognized by the American Red Cross (ARC). Subsequently became a member of the Board of Directors for the ARC in Tucson.

Developed end to end processes, procedures and training for all employees and improved audit results from a rating of 34% approval to 78% approval (2% above company average) in 30 months providing the foundation for moving forward with ISO Certification.

On the Aker Due Diligence Team to sell four business units to Jacobs then led the Jacobs transition.
