Detailed Engineering:

Review of ITB package & FEED documents.

Develop plot plan, piping and equipment layout in a way that minimizes plant operation costs whilst ensuring that construction, operational, safety and maintenance requirements are appropriately addressed.

Understand contract instructions, client’s specifications, applicable codes and standards, statutory regulations and requirements.

Ensures that completed design is functional, maintainable and designed with safety and that all applicable codes and standards have been followed.

Participate in 3D model review and HAZOP with client and prepare comments resolution.

Estimate scope of work, number of deliverables, man-hours along with requirement of number of engineers/designers based on schedule of the project as per Client’s requirement.

Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and calculating time requirements.

Prepare Technical Queries (TQ) to Clients for unavailable data and clarifications.

Preparation of tank/vessel nozzle orientation drawing, pipe support location plan, pipe support drawings and piping GAD.

Squad checking of drawings from other discipline related to piping.

Perform clash detection program using Bentley Navigator.

Coordinates with other discipline for the design inputs of static and rotating equipment drawings, pipe rack and structural foundation drawings, instrument hook up drawings, control valves and inline instruments detail drawing, etc.

Review stress iso and suggest alternative support arrangement to stress engineer.

Review 3D model from design, accessibility, maintainability and constructability using Naviswork, Bentley Navigator and SPR.

Prepare piping design sketches as required by drafting personnel.

Check isometric drawing and bill of materials developed by drafting personnel.

Perform, coordinate and review piping material take offs (MTO) activities and provide necessary details for further procurement activities.

Provide technical agreement, interface coordination and clarifications to tie up contractors of the project.

Review of all the piping engineering deliverables / non-deliverables documents from technical and quality point of view.

Executes 3D modeling of piping, pipe supports, equipment, structures and cable trays from conceptual designs provided by the use of PDS, SP3D and PDMS software.

Update the 3D model based on the internal and client reviews, latest vendor information and isometric drawing comments.

Extracts piping for use in the development of isometric drawings and other related downstream piping engineering.

Perform 2D annotation of isometric drawings using Microstation and AutoCAD.

Provide 3D software administration support activities including PCD files update, reference database (RDB) update and isometric extraction.

Perform related duties in timely manner as and when directed by the direct supervisor.

Field Engineering / Construction:

Supervision of piping fabrication and installation at shop/site.

Preparation of field design changes/built-in isometric drawings and pipe support modifications.

Perform site walk down systems with P&IDs and ISO's to verify and making punch list of unresolved items.

Supervision of hydrostatic tests on systems to ensure they will function under the designed pressures and temperatures.

Provide technical direction to construction supervisor.

Follow up piping construction work on projects sites to ensure correct interpretation of designs regarding installation.
