PROFILE

-Driven by academic and artistic curiosity. In my History and English degrees, as well as my poetry and my interactions with tradesmen, I am most interested in thinking about the basis and function of the perspective/system in question; gaining full-understanding of a problem to find a complete solution.

-Desire for practical application of talents. When thinking about the application and function of language I often try to observe the function of common dialect, intentionally incorporating recollected and colloquial language into my own work. This practice answers to a call I feel within poetics, to realize the economic and social reality of the People.

-Hunger for diverse and seemingly disconnected knowledge. Growing up in Canada, living in South China, studying in Greece all have given me the opportunity to begin to understand how myopic my view of the world, and history, actually is. This academic knowledge is matched by range of experiences in the workplace.

-Diversity of skills. Along with writing and editing, I have also become familiar with various construction industry practices and programs (TakeOff, Bluebeam, etc.). On the job training with documents (contracts, technical reports) and technology combine with physical implementation (manual labor, grouting, wall penetration), giving me comprehensive experience on a vast range of projects.
