Project: Stacker Upgrade
Description: The Stacker is a java based middle layer application that enables Oncor to meet the requirements for the MIMO (i.e. MOVE IN and MOVE OUT) Solution. It allows Oncor to accept (and process) multiple, non-sequential Registration transactions on a single premise. This transaction information is sent to Polaris database using DB link functionality. In this project stacker supporting DB version was upgraded to Oracle12c, whereas the connecting Polaris DB version was Oracle 9i. Because of non-compatibility of Oracle Version in source and target DBlink functionality was broken. Now, to process this transactions to Polaris, we have replaced DBlink code with ETL logic.
Responsibilities:
• Involved in requirement gathering, analysis, developing and deployment phases of this project using ETL specifications.
• Created ETL mapping and workflows to load the data from Stacker database to the Polaris database by replacing DB link functionality as per business requirement.
• Developed UNIX shell script to check on source/target DB connectivity, trigger ETL maps which will load data from one system to another.
• Worked with database team to create tables, procedures and views needed for ETL code as per new requirement.
• Created SQL queries which is used in ETL code as per business requirement.
• Performed Unit testing for the ETL mapping and UNIX scripts code created.
• Prepared high level, low level, business requirement, UTP and technical design documentation of the developed code.
• Enabled and migrated created code in IBM Rational tool to maintain code versioning and updates.
• Worked across department team to schedule created code with a job using CAWA scheduler.
• Involved in knowledge sharing session with the support team to deploy created code functioning in production. Informatica Developer Mar 2013 – Nov 2013
